Re: TinyTiny on Openshift

FYI openshift is terrible and I'm not really supporting that anymore, but I'll try to check in on pull requests as they come in. I think it's awesome. I run several websites on OpenShift, tt-rss being one of them. I've been running ttrss on openshift for 3+ years, and it's been working great for me...

Re: 'All Articles' always says no articles found to display

I dumped the db and re-updated it; and that has helped.

Thanks for the hint on the database.

Re: 'All Articles' always says no articles found to display

All the tables are innodb; just re-confirmed.

Re: 'All Articles' always says no articles found to display

Turns all the tables are innodb, but the myisam files still exist. Must've converted sometime back.

Is mysql + innodb also a problem?

Re: 'All Articles' always says no articles found to display

Also, everything else seems to be working fine, so I'm curious to know how this would point to a db problem.

Re: 'All Articles' always says no articles found to display

Yes, using mysql 5.1 and myisam.

Thanks for narrowing this down.

Is there a recipe for fixing the db?

Re: 'All Articles' always says no articles found to display

What debug info can I gather? From where?

BTW there are several (thousands) unread articles in various feeds, but they don't show up in the 'all articles' feed. 'Fresh articles' only shows articles unread which have arrived in the last <configured> hours, and that works as expected.

'All Articles' always says no articles found to display

Hello, Clicking on 'All Articles' always shows "No articles found to display." This is in adaptive mode. Changing this mode doesn't help too. Selecting 'Unread', for example, shows "No unread articles found to display". This used to work fine earlier, some update in the last few ...

Self-hosting tt-rss for free: HOWTO

Hello,

I've been using tt-rss for quite a while on OpenShift, it works really well. I've written a blog post detailing the steps to set an instance for yourself up at

Re: update.php doesn't understand environment variables

The variables are available under cron (in fact, the update script couldn't have run w/o it, since even the location of the tt-rss installation is accessed via env. vars). I also tried running the update.php script from the command prompt. It errors out in the same way -- essentially sanity_check.ph...

Re: Some feed icons not shown

The previous forum posts talk about none of the icons being visible, which is due to the ICONS_DIR dir. pointing to a reserved dir. name under Apache. In my case, that's not what happens; I've named my icons dir to 'ico' and majority of the favicons do show up properly. Just some sites are missing t...

update.php doesn't understand environment variables

Hello, I've deployed tt-rss on OpenShift PaaS, and the recommended way to point to the DB is to use the environment varialbe OPENSHIFT_DB_HOST. My config.php has the following: define('DB_HOST', $_ENV['$OPENSHIFT_DB_HOST']); which works fine for the viewing of the feeds. However, the update.php scri...

Re: Some feeds don't show up properly

Thanks; switching to simplepie made this work fine.

Any reason not to change to that as the default?
