Android app freezes on Android N (NPC56P)

Hi, just installed Android N on my Nexus 6P, and found the Tiny Tiny RSS app not working: as soon as the article list is supposed to be populated, the app freezes.

Obviously it's very early, and maybe the issue is on Google's side, but I thought I'd let you know.

Re: After upgrade from 1.6.2 to 1.7.0 feeds double

Thanks for the pointer - I think it's more clear to say "articles double", since it's the articles that show up twice after the magpie -> simplepie switch - the number of feeds stays the same. Andrew's comment from the report is Yes, you will experience dupes for the content still existing...

Re: twitter changed & broke RSS feeds

I added URL un-shortening to the original twitterfeed.php, so it's easier to see where a link is going, and whether it's worthwhile to click it. Though I'd share it here.

Thanks for that info on the TwitterSupport page. I just implemented that solution on my server as well.

Re: TT-RR with open_basedir enabled?

Hi, I installed a TT-RSS instance yesterday, and it took me quite a while to figure out why I just got "Couldn't download the specified URL." when trying to subscribe to any feed. There was also nothing in any logs. I then remembered having had to disable open_basedir for TT-RSS earlier, a...

Re: Gentoo ebuild

Good news - the ebuild has made it into Portage - no need to get it from the Sunrise overlay anymore :)

Additional info about Twitter support

I discovered tt-rss's Twitter support today, and I have to say: Another awesome feature! :) While I was getting my tt-rss instance connected to Twitter, I read this Wiki entry . As it turns out, there are many possibilities with the Twitter API, on what exactly you can subscribe to. The Wiki article...

Re: tt-rss may cause client DoS - build in a limit?

I had 5 other tabs open, one of them an unsaved Wiki edit ;) Generally I agree - I asked for it. But maybe there could be a hard-limit... Another aspect: at first the memory consumption rose slowly, then suddenly it "exploded" - maybe there is also a bug involved somewhere. In any case the...

tt-rss may cause client DoS - build in a limit?

Hi, after a few months of using tt-rss with a few feeds (around 200-400 new items per day) I clicked on the "All articles" link today. After a few seconds I found that the box I was running Firefox 3.0.5 on (Core2Duo 6320, 4 GB RAM, Fedora 10 (64 bit)) got very sluggish. A quick look at 't...

The ebuild (with a few modifications) for version 1.2.30 is now available through the Sunrise overlay. I'll maintain it there.

Gentoo ebuild

Hi, I created a Gentoo package (ebuild) for easy installation of Tiny Tiny RSS on Gentoo systems. I'm sure there is room for improvement, but I think I covered the basics (mysql/postgresql USE flags, icons directory server-owned, config.php marked as configuration file so it doesn't get overwritten ...

Re: Missing < > & characters from article content

Umm, could somebody provide a patch for magpie? I'm trying to package tt-rss for Gentoo, but this is a showstopper (as the bug shows up with the versions of php/libxml2 that are being shipped with Gentoo currently). Until the problems in php/libxml2/wherever are fixed, I'll automatically apply the p...

Same problem here... php 5.2.6 + libxml2 2.7.2 (Gentoo).
