Re: Start tag expected, '<' not found

libxml and the feed are not the culprits here. The feed is using "Transfer-Encoding: chunked" and tt-rss (or curl, not sure which one is responsible) does not properly decode it. You can see the data which makes libxml fail by running: curl --raw http://www.cnet.com/rss/gaming/

Re: .git and .gitignore folders exposed

Well it might be relevant if someone also tracks their config in git (which is not a terrible idea tbh).

Re: Chrome compatibility issues ?

My guess is your tt-rss is running over https and slashdot tries to load an iframe over http. This is potentially unsafe, so Chrome and Firefox block it. Check the Javascript Console (Ctrl-Shift-J) for errors starting with "[blocked]".

Re: Support width/height for media:thumbnail

True. Still... probably less frustrating to implement the attributes in ttrss instead of creating a huge patch for gitlab implementing image resizing and caching.

Support width/height for media:thumbnail

I noticed some feeds, specifically Atom-Feeds generated by Gitlab, contain very large avatar images. I thought the feed was just broken, but on further investigation it seems they use <media:thumbnail width="40" height="40" url="https://gitlab-host/uploads/user/avatar/N/Avat...

Re: Does ttrss send referral when clicked on a link within?

There actually is a way to tell your browser never to send Referrer-Headers to links originating from a page: <meta name="referrer" content="never"> (see http://wiki.whatwg.org/wiki/Meta_referrer) This has been implemented at least in Chrome/Chromium for a while. Somebody please ...

Re: Since 1.11 starred / published feeds are invalid

Might help to remove the closing ?> from the config.php template altogether. That way, at least the trailing newline problem is a thing of the past.

EDIT: Yep, about :)

Re: [Bug] Punycode domains are parsed wrongly.

I can't believe I just spend half an hour reading the ATOM spec, the XHTML spec and finally RFC2396 because I somehow thought that fox was wrong. He is not, however :)

Happy holidays and a good start for 2014 everyone!

Re: LibXML error 5

I tested your feed against 'xmllint --recover' - it does remove the extra content that trips over libxml. So my guess is, you did not install the xmllint plugin properly or your installation does not allow proc_open. Check the logs.

Re: Cron job don't accept certain characters

Sorry for insist but I still receive errors, I created with notepad the php file that you suggested me: see below From the screenshot it looks as if your script is located in public_html/tt-rss/yourhostersucks.php whereas you specified public_html/yourhostersucks.php And just a quick comment regard...

Re: Cron job don't accept certain characters

Something that calls itself cron, but will only accept php scripts. "Awesome". Create a text file, call it "myhostersucks.php" and put the following in it: <?php system('php ./update.php --quiet --feeds'); Upload the file to /home/u407721832 and set the "Command to run"...

Re: Implement CORS headers for the API

Ah, alright. Didn't look at the source. The API reference says "Session ID should be specified using JSON parameter sid" so I thought this was mandatory.

Re: Implement CORS headers for the API

Isn't the idea to allow cross-site requests specifically for the API (where requests contains explicit authentication as opposed to cookies) while still maintaining XSS protection for the rest of the site?
