I get similar behavior on my droid turbo (4.4). I can *just* tell the difference, but only if I have an unread article next to a read article. On my Nexus 7 (2013) it's easier to tell, but not as easy as in previous versions of the theme. I'd prefer a bit more contrast between read and unread artic...

It appears that in the latest version these settings are saved in the cookies. So as long as your cookie is active these settings will be maintained. I am running the latest version and have cookies active, but the widescreen setting does not remain persistent for me after a refresh. Scrap that, af...
