Re: Google detects my server as a bot since I run TT-RSS

Note that Feedburner is owned by Google, and is a common RSS feed service. As are blogger and blogspot. But I pull plenty of feedburner, blogger and blogspot feeds in my TT-RSS installation (with well over 500 feeds), our server is natted behind the same router as our laptops. We haven't had a prob...

Re: Google Reader keyboard shortcut emulation plugin

Some are inspired by feedly, some by google reader (X, n, p, r). What I do not really got to work is the ENTER key. I didn't either, so I ended up just making Enter close the article. $hotkeys["(13)|Enter"] = "close_article"; (I've made other changes to the plugin too, like unbi...

Re: Thank You for Tiny Tiny RSS

I came here as a Google Reader refugee, and yeah, I wrote a plugin to remap some keys to make the experience more like theirs. But by the end of the first weekend using it, I already liked it better than Google Reader. I can't believe TT-RSS on our old workstation with a single-core processor and 38...

Re: My EnyoJS based UI for tt-rss

Well, it works pretty well on my girl's phone on Jelly Bean, so you probably don't have that much optimizing to do, at least for Android. Nice work.

Re: My EnyoJS based UI for tt-rss

The permissions in the zip file are too restrictive. chmod -R 755 . from the enyojs folder fixed it for me. However, while it looks pretty sweet in desktop Chrome and I can't wait to try it on a tablet, on my phone (which is still running Froyo) the stock browser and three other Webkit browsers I tr...

Looks pretty sweet! Looking forward to giving it a try on our Android phones and tablet.

Re: This XML document is invalid, likely due to invalid (*5)

(Since I have no edit button, I just want to add the disclaimer that you probably don't want to put that script on a public-facing server. I used "open" in a way that shouldn't spawn a shell and open up the associated vulnerabilities with passing unvalidated input to a shell, but there cou...

Re: This XML document is invalid, likely due to invalid (*5)

Some sites also just produce invalid XML (unquoted characters like & > <, control characters and non-ASCII characters, unescaped spaces in URLs, etc). Someone on another thread came up with a way to run every fetched feed through xmllint, but I'd already made a feed cleaner proxy in perl, tiny e...

Re: How to use cURL to call the API

I'm happy to use cURL. It''s already installed on my server. (Linux) Can you just point me to some examples of how to actually construct the php? I found lots of them out there, but the wiki makes it seem like a call should be structured like this: $ curl -d '{"sid":"your-session-id&...

Re: Mobile webapp for TT RSS: ttrss-mobile

@raindog469 thank you for the input  Did you compare on a cellular network? It's really the target I'm trying to optimize for. Not as of yet, as the only cell service we get at home is a femtocell (very low power cell tower that routes voice and data over our cable modem). I'll try it this...

Re: Mobile webapp for TT RSS: ttrss-mobile

I just did a benchmark using the version of ttrss-mobile from the top of this thread, alternating between CDN and pulling local copies from lib, about 5 times each. On my 2-year-old Android phone (on wifi), both versions load in between 3 and 3.5 seconds. Sometimes the CDN version was faster, someti...

Re: [git] Mobile site not working?

On the other hand, Matthieu's mobile web app seems pretty nice. You could include that as a git submodule. Maybe this could even be made tablet friendly and replace the digest plugin. It is true it's nice. But it displays only 10 articles (per category). I don't see where I can change this paramete...

Re: Session Expire Time Problem

For mysql users looking for a quick fix, setting session.gc_maxlifetime to a very high number in php.ini (I used 2000000000) fixed the problem for me under Ubuntu 12.04. Might be a problem if you're running other PHP apps that make a lot of session files, but I'm not.

Re: Google Reader keyboard shortcut emulation plugin

I actually unbound cursor up and down too, but didn't want to unbind them in the plugin, since I wasn't rebinding them to anything else. I'll be digging deeper this week to try to get things like expand/collapse article to work, as I miss that in particular, and (I hope) come up with a more comprehe...

Re: fbrss feed not working.

phpbb took away my edit button. I was coming back to say that it's not working for me... feeds with xml parsing errors still have errors. I went back to my pre-Google-Reader strategy, using a trivial perl CGI on one of my own servers as a proxy to strip out invalid characters on just the problem fee...
