Re: Open in background tab (Chrome/Opera only)

Note the compatibility update regarding Google Chrome in the first post in this thread (and on Github): It stopped working in the Google Chrome development channel somewhere around version 41.0.2224.3, released late 2014. The stable and beta channel will probably follow in closing this functionality...

Re: I am looking for working service daemonize script for De

TT-RSS is currently in the "Testing" and "Unstable" branches of Debian , so I would begin by looking at the package maintainer's solution. You might even want to use the packaged version directly for simplicity. It is also possible to install the main Debian version to take adva...

Re: Open in background tab (Chrome/Opera only)

Ctrl-Click on a link inside an article will open the article (not the link target) in a background tab for me (Chromium/Linux). OK, thanks for the clarification, I only wrote about the item title links. I can confim that Ctrl+click on a link opens the article and not the link target here as well, b...

Re: Open in background tab (Chrome/Opera only)

Hello, FYI, I have posted a pull request with a simple patch to allow the default behaviour of the browser during control+click (e.g. open in background tab): https://github.com/gothfox/Tiny-Tiny-RSS/pull/284 It should work on all browsers, including Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, and Chrome. C...

Re: Open in background tab (Chrome/Opera only)

Side question: Do you know anyway I can get the article's url with open in new window instead of this redirect "backend.php?op=article&method=redirect&id=" + id ? The redirect messed up my custom load rule for my tabs based on domain. A database lookup is needed to find this URL, ...

Re: Open in background tab (Chrome/Opera only)

By the way, are you getting the idea for your openArticleInBackgroundTab(id) function by this link: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10812628/open-a-new-tab-in-the-background ? If so, seem like it only works on Chrome and Opera, where the open tab in background can be controlled by javascript. Ye...

Re: Open in background tab (Chrome/Opera only)

Can you make it emulate what open_in_new_window use and not mouse click event? I can't use Chrome (which is a joke) or Opera (too bloated like Chrome). Open in new window works in firefox. The whole point of this plugin is to open things in background tabs. Firefox does not allow this, probably sin...

Re: [1.9] update.php locked

I used Old instructions, for whom it may concern guide at http://510x.se/notes/posts/Install_Tiny_Tiny_RSS_on_Debian/ . I think it is not working. Are you saying that you followed the instructions for manually installing TT-RSS 1.5 on that site? Then it is not improbable that things failed with a m...

Re: Google detects my server as a bot since I run TT-RSS

The problem is, that when I browse the web through a SSH tunnel, Google asks me to type a captcha because of unusual traffic coming from my IP adress. Has this happened over a long period of time? Because this has happened to me from time to time without apparent reason (on locations without TT-RSS...

Re: Failure after upgrade

I'm not sure how your mysql problem is related to tt-rss. I just received this from support: The issue appears to have been caused by your script using the old password authentication method to access the MySQL database server. The new upgrade does not support this. You can try removing and re-addi...

Re: Failure after upgrade

I think I have to get their support techs to do something, but I need to know exactly what to ask them to do. Show them the error message as stated in this thread. They will (hopefully) know what to do, since this should affect all their customers' (at least their old ones) MySQL connections via PH...

Re: Open in background tab (Chrome/Opera only)

For Firefox, if you don't mind opening all tabs in the background, you can uncheck/disable via TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> TABS -> "When I open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately" I have that unchecked by default, but it doesn't affect this matter for me. There is however the `browser....

Re: Open in background tab (Chrome/Opera only)

The extension seems to work great, though I wonder if it's at all possible to add option to open all (unread) articles in new tabs with one click? I won't use it myself, but I added an attempt at this functionality to the latest Github version. Note what the `README` says about Chrome support and e...
