Yea, the channel page has a link to the RSS feed. I didn't check this, read the faq and assumed that RSS was no longer available.

That I missed. I found a FAQ entry here that specifically states that there is no alternative to v2 RSS feeds. Oh well, since I already wrote it, might as well use it and keep the format.

Instead of running the daemon, just use the cron (just modify that paths to what they are on your system).

You either need the right to set up a cron job (some hostings give you that) or keep the browser open all the time (there is a setting that makes tt-rss update automatically, but the browser window has to be open).

Thank you, I somehow missed that I needed to install php5-curl separately. I installed it and now the feed works.
