android client crashes when scrolling to load more articles

Since updating to the latest version, the android client is consistently crashing whenever I scroll down past the default (30?) articles, to autoload more. This problem definitely didn't exist in the previous version.

Re: changing update_intervals

5 minutes is good enough for me, so that's not a problem. I just didn't care for the 15 minute lowest default.

thanks

errors from running "update.php -indexes"

I just upgraded from 1.5.11 to 1.6.0. Per the release notes for 1.6.0, I backed up my postgresql database for ttrss, and once the upgrade had completed successfully, I ran "update.php -indexes". It spewed a bunch of errors about constraint violations that prevented dropping several of the ...

Re: twitter changed & broke RSS feeds

Since the fools at twitter are going to take RSS away altogether, and ttrss-1.6.0 removes the twitter support (as a result of twitter's decision), I decided to come up with an alternative solution. I'm generating my own self hosted twitter RSS feed, which I then use ttrss to consume. I've documented...

how does ttrss determine that new articles exist in a feed?

I've got an RSS feed which I've configured ttrss to check for updates every 15 minutes (the default). This feed has new articles every few minutes, often several at a time. Yet, what I'm seeing is that ttrss seems to lag in detecting that there are new articles for upwards of an hour after they appe...

changing update_intervals

If I wanted different per-feed update intervals than the default list, of choices is it just a matter of making the changes to $update_intervals in backend.php, or is there some reason why this wouldn't work?

Also, what's the purpose of $update_intervals_nodefault ?

thanks

old update_daemon-*.lock files sitting around

I recently switched from getting updates via a cronjob to running update_daemon2.php as a daemon. I noticed that occasionally, update_daemon2.php seems to leave stale lock files sitting around. Currently, I've got the following: ########### -rw-r--r-- 1 apache apache 6 Sep 21 22:12 update_daemon.loc...

Re: twitter changed & broke RSS feeds

FWIW, it looks like the 'new' RSS feed URL does work.

From the link in the previous post, it sounds like the next version of ttrss will no longer support twitter's OAuth at all, since twitter RSS feeds will cease working on (or before) March 5, 2013 ?

Re: twitter changed & broke RSS feeds

BTW, the only way I figured this out was after googling, and stumbling across the following: http://bcooksley.blogspot.com/2012/10/twitter-and-planet.html https://drupal.org/node/1811444 http://www.grafxflow.co.uk/blog/php-and-html-and-css/twitter-rss-url-feed-cant-be-read-fix/ http://gregshead.net/...

twitter changed & broke RSS feeds

A few days ago, the idiots at Twitter decided to quietly deprecate the RSS feeds URL that had worked for years, and replace it with a new URL (also without any formal announcement that I can find). The old URL format was like this: https://twitter.com/statuses/friends_timeline/1234567.rss The new fo...

running update_daemon2.php as a daemon with systemd (Fedora)

I'm not sure if this will be useful to anyone else, but I just spent (or wasted) about 30 minutes figuring this out, and figured it might be useful to others. As the current 'UpdatingFeeds' wiki page still recommends using start-stop-daemon (on Debian, which doesn't exist for RH/Fedora) or running i...

view/click article 'comment' link in android comment?

This might just be user error, or maybe its a feature request. I've got the latest Android client installed, however, for all of my feeds, I don't see any way to view/click/tap on the 'comment' link associated with the articles. Not all articles have it, but even for those that do, its never rendere...
