Re: Craigslist Feeds no longer updating

The problem is that you're posting on the TT-RSS forum an issue that is not related to TT-RSS. This is not true. The website is serving the feed fine to the browser. It only returns 403 to TRSS (and only lately). I think people (including me) are just trying to find out if you folks as the core dev...

Re: Behavior change for Automatically mark articles as read

Re: Behavior change for Automatically mark articles as read

I did. Maybe you should do me the same courtesy. In fact, just read this one post and tell me why the suggestion is not workable or doesn't make sense. Here is the rationale again. ========== What I don't understand is your resistance to consider something that actually agrees with something that yo...

Re: Behavior change for Automatically mark articles as read

I wonder how this discussion might have gone had GReader not been mentioned at all. I just get the feeling you simply stopped listening after that. You haven't paid any attention to the reasoning I have been giving you. What I don't understand is your resistance to consider something that actually a...

Re: Behavior change for Automatically mark articles as read

Nice! Thanks. I started to look at the code, but it was gonna take me a while to get there. Fox & Co. have a severe GReader allergy. :( Luckily, TT-RSS is open source, so we can fix what we don't like. I did so here for a similar UX preference that got shot down: https://github.com/mstroud/Tiny-...

Re: Behavior change for Automatically mark articles as read

OK. Forget I mentioned Reader. Sorry I mentioned it. Just consider this on the basis of the reasons I am giving you. Folks who have a lot of articles to get through, do like that UX of being able to quickly scan through a stream of articles, ignore most of the cruft, and click on the articles of int...

Re: Behavior change for Automatically mark articles as read

[quote="fox"]>Reader has a similar behavior. Yeah, I know you don't like hearing that. But you are smart. And smart people don't dismiss good ideas just because they didn't invent them. Whatever you may think about the Reader, it did many things well. This was a good UX feature. No harm in...

Re: Behavior change for Automatically mark articles as read

Yes, I think that's right. Would be nice if it happened automatically, similar to the behavior with the preference setting " Automatically mark articles as read ". I mean, in addition to marking READ when scrolling past, also do it when clicking past. Just a nicer UX. Reader has a similar ...

Re: Behavior change for Automatically mark articles as read

All bow before HIS MINDSET I don't quite understand what is so outrageous about this request. Maybe you can help me understand. I am simply talking about the articles in the current view (in the reading pane). You already support marking articles READ as the user scrolls past them. Why is asking fo...

Behavior change for Automatically mark articles as read

When this option is set, the previous articles should be marked as READ when scrolling past (current behavior) AND clicking on an article (requested behavior). This probably matches the expectation of a user who enables this option. His mindset is most likely to want previous articles marked READ as...
