Re: catchup_feed()

You had a comment in the code about the stuff handling the catchup interval and cleaning it up to be more general. Given the comment I changed the code to be more generic and it will now handle day/week/month and not just "1", but any arbitrary number of days/weeks/months someone wants to ...

catchup_feed()

In functions.php in the function catchup_feed() you've got a comment: // Todo: all this interval stuff needs some generic generator function I had a bit of time at lunch and how about this: $offset = -1; // find where the day/week/month starts if( (($offset = strpos($input, "day")) > 0) ||...

Possible small change to eliminate a DB query

I was looking at the code in rssfunctions.php and the function update_rss_feed(). There is a point where you have parsed and processed an entry and then you do a query to see if it is already in the database (line 673) and if not you insert it and if it is you set the date_updated for the existing e...

sorting order off in latest

Was traveling for a week and I pulled the latest from github. I sort oldest forst. But on the image below, the NY Times feed in this image shows that the order isn't right:

There is an item from 8/1, then 7/31 items then another 8/1 then more 7/31.

Why you should be ahhpy you moved to tt-rss

Seems like one of the alternatives to google reader is shutting down. Be happy you went to the effort to get tt-rss running and thank Fox for his efforts.

Floating title and plugin icons

Thanks for the new floating title, it is great. One thing it has me wanting is to move the plugin icons to that same area. As I read through the article I might decide to switch to the embedded content view, add a note, forward by email, etc. It would be very convenient to have those plugin icons at...

embed_original plugin and firefox 23

I am on the beta channel for FF. In FF 23 they've changed a default and if you have mixed content (https and http) in a page they block the http content. I access my ttrss site via https and so when I use embed_original in FF23 the frame is created but nothing is displayed. You can "fix" t...

Re: [1.8] mailto handling

there is code, I think in the sanitize function, that rewrites the URL that might be the culprit. I don't remember the details but I am pretty sure it doesn't check for mailto links

Re: Speed/Data Usage - Android App

he is bitching about the data user and I am trying to explain you made a reasonable trade off. Of course, when you hire the full time development team for the client we can expect a lot more options, an embedded music player, a Shiro like affect to explain any news item to us and more

Re: Speed/Data Usage - Android App

Haven't done a lot of research yet, but I did put in some debugging prints and it looks to me that when the Android client calls the getHeadlines API it sets show_content to true and doesn't set show_excerpt. This means that the full content for each item, as passed in the rss/atom feed is sent. It ...
