Re: Does TTRSS Use Local CPU During Fetch?

Here is the link to the instructions for setting up a job in the background either through a daemon or cron job to process feed updates automatically. http://tt-rss.org/redmine/projects/tt-rss/wiki/UpdatingFeeds Thanks for the link. I'm going to try the cron job, because I'm on a shared server. Lane

Does TTRSS Use Local CPU During Fetch?

I mostly use Tiny Tiny RSS in the Atomic Browser on an iPad where it performs very nicely. Unfortunately, the iPad does not support background processing, so if I switch away from the Atomic Browser it stops doing anything. My question is, if I load TTRSS in the browser and then switch away to somet...

Re: Updater Plugin Doesn't Like My Directory?

I just followed the directions for manual updating, and it worked just fine. Thanks for the help.

Re: Updater Plugin Doesn't Like My Directory?

No new directory, fox. There is an error.log file for today that says this:
[13-May-2013 12:36:37 UTC] PHP Warning: system() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/jlplapm/public_html/r/plugins/updater/init.php on line 185

Updater Plugin Doesn't Like My Directory?

I installed the updater plugin and tried to use it to update to TTR 1.7.9. This is the dialog it produced: Ready to update. Work directory: /home/jlplapm/public_html/r Checking for tar... Checking for gunzip... Checking for latest version... Target version: 1.7.9 Proceeding to download... Downloadin...

It certainly did work. Thank you.

Re: Larger Text for Older Eyes?

I'm enjoying the larger text for the articles, but now I'd like to tweak the text size for the lists. What code is needed for that?

I should say I did look at the wiki for the above without success. :)

Yes!

Thank you very much. The final method was the one for me, because I'm on a shared server account without CLI access.

This thread doesn't belong in Feature Requests, but perhaps it should go in the FAQ.

Re: Single Click/Tap to Fetch All Subscriptions

Clicking the "All Articles" or "Fresh Articles" feeds in the Special category seems to work for me. Hmmm, that doesn't work for me. All Articles only gets something if I click twice a single subscription (not "All Articles"), and it shows all of the unread articles. Fr...

Single Click/Tap to Fetch All Subscriptions

As it is now, it seems I have to click twice every subscription to get new articles fetched. Since I have 20 subscriptions, this is a tedious process that keeps me using other readers for now. I would like to be able to click (PC) or tap (tablet) once to fetch the new articles for all my subscriptio...

Perfect!

BTW, just for the record I'm using a commercial shared server account (Hosting Zoom) which houses my websites.

Re: Option to Sort Oldest First Doesn't Seem to Work.

It's in the toolbar. Edit: that's only main UI though, I haven't implemented that in the digest which you might be using on the ipad. I should have told you: I'm not using the digest, because I get over a hundred titles daily. On the iPad I'm using the main UI in the Dolphin browser. It works just ...

Re: Option to Sort Oldest First Doesn't Seem to Work.

There's now: 1. Default (sorts by score, import batch date, pubdate -- newest first; import dates are discussed in another thread somewhere here) 2. Newest first (by pubdate) 3. Oldest first (by pubdate) I think this makes much more sense. That looks good. Am I understanding correctly that the abov...

Larger Text for Older Eyes?

My eyesight isn't what it used to be. The font size is OK for the lists, but a larger size for article text would sure be nice.

I don't mind editing code.
