Re: US residential ISP terms of service: anyone called out for hosting at home?

Has anyone been called out by your ISP for running a tt-rss server in your home? I'm thinking of running tt-rss locally and accessing it locally on my LAN only . I'm not sure if this violates the TOS for my ISP. If it's not accessible externally I fail to see how it's any of your ISP's business. Wo...

Re: Someone making money off TT RSS

It's not about "right" vs "wrong", or what people "deserve", it's about what the license allows. Hint: most common FOSS licenses allow this. TT-RSS is GPLv3: https://github.com/gothfox/Tiny-Tiny-RSS/blob/master/README.md GPL does not prohibit this: https://www.gnu.org/l...

Re: [Android] Tiny Tiny RSS app article read/unread appearan

with the last update from 1.88 to 1.90 the appearance of read / unread articles has changed. I'm using dark theme and unread articles had a lighter background than read articles. From 1.90 on, you can hardly distinguish between read and unread articles because background color is almost identical. ...

Re: Official Android client

You don't use categories, right? I found it. It doesn't appear to be related to categories (behavior is the same with that option enabled/disabled). I did try loading the menu with the sidebar open and realized I had "show unread feeds". I switched to "show all feeds" and I can ...

Re: Official Android client

Since the "mark as unread" button got buried in the recent versions of the app, I figured I'd give the "starred articles" approach a shot instead. In general it's fine, but can you add a "starred articles" feed to the sidebar in the android client? It's a little cumbers...

Re: Android app ideas (with partial implementations)

I'm a Google Reader escapee and I think the TT-RSS android app is just fine. But then I understand how "read/unread" has worked in just about every computer program ever. And I don't think two taps to "Set unread," or looking at a separate "starred" feed, is some sort ...

Re: Android app ideas (with partial implementations)

FWIW: I'm with Stefan on this. In tt-rss, starring an article is not a good replacement for "mark unread", as I've been using it. I find the single list of "things I need to look at" very convenient. Mark unread may be a kludge, but I could blaze through articles like this in goo...

Re: [1.7.6] Updater requires CURL

I did restart apache, just failed to mention it in my post. Can you help a newb with how to do this in phpMyAdmi...

Re: [1.7.6] Updater requires CURL

I installed curl (php5-curl), but I still get a "Error while extracting tarball (RC=2)." from the in-place updater plugin (web interface). Any ideas/suggestions would be most appreciated. Here are the last few lines from the updater: Proceeding to download... Downloading distribution tarba...

Re: Reverse Sort Order for Individual Feeds

Adding more hidden prefs is a shitty idea. Yeah, can't say I disagree. Comes down to design philosophy I guess, whether you're going for mass-market or power user. Hiding stuff for simplicity's sake can work, but I know it's hard to do right, and tt-rss is more of a power user product anyway. Thank...

Re: Reverse Sort Order for Individual Feeds

I sort of experimented with keeping per-feed view settings and I find it terrible, confusing and click-consuming. I was thinking per-feed could work if the user didn't have to do much management of the settings, like if each feed defaulted to a user-level preference and the user could quickly make/...
