Re: A pray for the return of the read/unread button (Android

Given how prominent the "mark unread" button is in gmail, I'm surprised more people's workflows aren't like this. (Or that they're quiet about it) I suspect many peoples workflows are similar. The recent increase in the number of 1 and 2 stars on the store and reviews say as much. People ...

Re: Android: Remove catchup all button from the actionbar

That's right. I do not use mark as read on scroll.
I prefer explicit over implicit, but I'll give it a try again.

Re: Android: Remove catchup all button from the actionbar

My guess is we're using the client in different ways. There are probably a few different styles of usage that aren't always complementary. 90% of the time I open a feed, scan it, and then click mark read. In cases where there is something I want to read later I don't mark read and instead wait until...

Android: Remove catchup all button from the actionbar

Hey fox,
I notice in the latest you moved the catchup all button from the actionbar to the overflow.

Would you reconsider?
It's quite convenient being able to mark all read without having to dig through the menu.

Thanks,
Chris

Re: DripDripDrop: A Tiny Tiny RSS Web client

Several folks have asked for unread counts on the favicon.

I've added this feature in the latest code.
Click the gear icon and disable it if you don't like seeing the unread count.

Re: API: Add version to getConfig

Ah, so it does - good point. My users rarely login but if the server bounces for an upgrade they'll have to relogin anway, in which case I will notice the API bump so I think that's sufficient. Thxs.

API: Add version to getConfig

Just tossing out an ideal here.
I suspect most tt-rss clients call getConfig.
In the effort to reduce an additional network request would it be reasonable to include the API level in getConfig?

API: Article content | getHeadlines vs getArticle

Someone reported that embedded videos weren't working in DripDripDrop. When I dug into this I noticed that getHeadlines with show_content: true does not return the same content as getArticle. getHeadlines does the additional santitize step and it appears there is no way to override this at the API l...

Take a look at the section of ddd's troubleshooting page. It's not ttrss-mobile but the troubleshooting steps are the same.

Re: DripDripDrop: A Tiny Tiny RSS Web client

It does pull the articles in categories now.
I assume you're asking for some sort of demarcation in the UI though, right?

Re: DripDripDrop: A Tiny Tiny RSS Web client

Awesome, glad it's working for you. Would love to hear any feedback you have.

You're the 2nd person in as many days that has run into this problem so I'm going to take a stab at fixing it.

Re: DripDripDrop: A Tiny Tiny RSS Web client

I only saw the first 2 which are warnings. The last one is an error and will stop it from working. I suspect your problem is the same as kswan's - you're trying to use the development version in production? The fact that your console is showing line numbers means you aren't using the minified produc...

Re: DripDripDrop: A Tiny Tiny RSS Web client

Hmmm those are just warnings - don't think they should break you.

What browser and can you point me to your real server?
I don't need credentials or anything just the public facing URL and I can tell you what's going on. Feel free to email if you'd prefer chris@gstaff.org

Re: DripDripDrop: A Tiny Tiny RSS Web client

Hey, thanks - yes it is fast, mostly because of how I'm using local storage. Starring was added recently, perhaps you have an older build? Press the 's' key to toggle starring. What's features are still going to add? Not sure, I have most of the features I wanted. It's been my only reader for a few ...
