I "cheated" and gave the VM 2GB instead of 512MB, the feeds now load

feed tab "Sorry, an error occurred"

running v1.15.3.4ca621a on a dedicated Ubuntu 14.04 instance everything seems to be working fine, untill I go into preferences | feeds when it goes (eventually) from "Loading...", to "Sorry, an error occurred" preferences | system | error log is empty where should I start looking ?

ln -s /etc/php5/conf.d/mcrypt.ini /etc/php5/mods-available/mcrypt.ini
sudo php5enmod mcrypt

I had to migrate to a new server (moving from xen to hyper-v...) and thought I would also move from Ubuntu 12.04 to 14.04 I did a base install of 14.04 and then install mysql nginx php5-mysql php5-xmlrpc php5-curl php5-cli php5-fpm php5-gd php5-mcrypt php-apc I copied the database (dump and restore)...

in addition to the first one that was "fixed" by deleting and re-adding it, I've got 4 more feeds where the contents of the feed in tt-rss is from a completely different feed. well, not completely different, all of the affected feeds are on http://blogs.technet.com as are all of the feeds ...

I'm using update_daemon2.php /var/log/ttrssupdater.log is empty, hence the comment about finding the logs
