Re: Importing of Google Reader Cached Feeds

Looking at your xml it seems to have "atom:" appended to all the tags which confuses the parser. as a quick hack I tried removing all the "atom:" using sed -e 's/atom://g' labelado2.xml > test.xml (or a text editor searching for "atom:" replacing with "" would...

Re: Plugin ff_FeedCleaner

Fixed it. I needed to escape the backslashes in my regex pattern "#^http://adc\\.bmj\\.com/rss/ahead\\.xml#" : { "type" : "regex", "pattern" : "#cgi\\/content\\/short#", "replacement" : "cgi\/content\/long" } Robin

Re: Plugin ff_FeedCleaner

sorry that still didn't work.

But your iswintercoming feed & example do work - so at least my computer can deal with regex - it is just choking on the sites I want!

Re: Plugin ff_FeedCleaner

Tiny-Tiny-RSS / plugins / af_pennyarcade / init.php

appears to have some logging setup in it - but the same doesn't work when I put it into feedcleaner.
however i think this is actually a problem somwhere between computer and chair....

Re: Plugin ff_FeedCleaner

Thanks! I was just investigating your (very neat) code to see how it works (I think I get the rough idea). Adding a way to log something to the debug log would be great & given your code really easy if we knew how! I had just started poking around to see what I can find, but nothing yet. I can't...

Re: Plugin ff_FeedCleaner

That is exactly what I want to happen.... but it isn't! I wondered if it only applied rules to newly fetched articles. but creating a new feed & applying: "#^http://feeds\\.bbci\\.co\\.uk/news/rss\\.xml?edition=uk#" : { "type" : "regex", "pattern" : "...

Re: Plugin ff_FeedCleaner

Thank you, this looks great. Sadly I can't get it to work! For http://adc.bmj.com/rss/ahead.xml I want to replace the links to the full articles e.g. http://adc.bmj.com/cgi/content/short/archdischild-2013-303959v1?rss=1 to http://adc.bmj.com/cgi/content/long/archdischild-2013-303959v1?rss=1 I'm tryi...

Re: Importing of Google Reader Cached Feeds

Half way there then ;o)

What is the feed address? I'll take a look and see what's going wrong.

Re: Importing of Google Reader Cached Feeds

Here is a parsing hack: https://gist.github.com/robinmarlow/b2189510b5dea45a9597 this will take the xml from either lotrfan's reader.pl or the manual way gbcox mentioned & make it into an xml that the import/export plugin can use run (linux again ;o) php readerXML_to_ttrssXML.php input.xml > out...

Re: Importing of Google Reader Cached Feeds

Crikey nice job! That would have taken me a while to code up. My only suggestion for improvement would be to let it parse the subscriptions.xml that google take out produces to get the feed names.... but that isn't really needed unless you've got a lot of feeds. Further poking around in the xml impo...

Re: Importing of Google Reader Cached Feeds

From a brief look at the XML produced by these methods, it looks as if it wouldn't be too hard to mangle it so that the XML import plugin would cope with it.
I'll try and dust off my perl / look at the plugin this weekend.
