Re: Got error "Sanity check: invalid RPC reply"

The only file I've edited is config.php and there doesn't appear to be any extra spaces that could break things in the file.
I just tested this by making a new config.php file after coping it from config.php-dist file and entering the database details but the problem remains.

Re: Got error "Sanity check: invalid RPC reply"

I followed the steps in that page by going to backend.php?op=viewfeed&feed=-3 and I got the following back: <reply><headlines id="-3" is_cat="">

Fr...

Got error "Sanity check: invalid RPC reply"

Hi, I just did a new install of Tiny Tiny RSS on a new computer and got the error "Sanity check: invalid RPC reply" when loading it. Based on another topic, I went to backend.php?op=rpc&subop=sanityCheck and got the following: <rpc-reply><error error-code="0"/><init-params><p...

I had this problem for the last few versions.
I just kept switching to single user mode to upgrade and then switching back to multiuser mode.
Glad to see there is a better solution.

I use the Sitebar < http://sitebar.org/downloads.php > for keeping bookmarks on a server.
There is an extension for Firefox to display it in a Sidebar < https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3605 >.
Unfortunately though for those who prefer Postgresql, it only supports mysql.

When using snapshots, always check config.php-dist and schema for any changes. I just checked config.php-dist and found I needed "define('COUNTERS_MAX_AGE', 365);" in my config.php. I had assumed that if the config changed that ttrss would say so as it always did before but I guess that d...

Current SVN Version SQL Error

Hi, I just upgraded my ttrss install to the latest SVN version and now get the following sql error when loading: Query SELECT count(int_id) AS unread FROM ttrss_user_entries,ttrss_feeds,ttrss_entries WHERE ttrss_user_entries.feed_id = ttrss_feeds.id AND ttrss_user_entries.ref_id = ttrss_entries.id A...

You have mentioned Java and virtual machines, are you sure you don't run into memory allocation limits or something now with tweaked for bigger working set PGSQL? It appears that was the case. I just reverted to my old pgsql config file and now ttrss loads. Justin Edit: I decided to dump my existin...

There is nothing wrong with my server that I know of besides this.
I mean there a few things like virtual machines being slow and Java not working but those should be unrelated.

I have no idea how PGSQL tweaking can cause that. Did you change something else? Nothing I can think of at the moment but I guess something must have changed. Well, you have a large database. Maybe tt-rss just doesn't scale this way, especially without serious PGSQL tweaking. I suppose so. I'm star...

I tweaked postgresql some more and turned off the caching. It worked for a little while and then I had problems again. Right now I have a got a new problem where attempting to go to the ttrss url (http://server/ttrss/tt-rss.php) returns a 0 byte page. I don't know if it's tt-rss, php, apache or what...

Is there a way to disable the prefetching to see more consistent results?

What is your article database size? Is it a lot? It's about 2.7 GB. Just in case, here is my slightly tweaked PGSQL config from tt-rss dev box (amd64, 1gb ram, not only used for tt-rss). I tried using that config and it may have helped a little bit but I'm still getting errors. It's weird, I can cl...

This could be caused by network problems. Are you sure you don't have anything wrong with your connectivity to the server w/ tt-rss - e.g. lost packets, etc.? Another thing - what browser, version of PHP, etc. are you using? I don't think there is anything wrong with my connectivity to the server, ...

Error "missing XML object" [unsolved]

Hi, I'm getting the error "Could not display article (missing XML object)" a lot when I click an article in a feed list. I can click the article again a few times, it will load the article and clicking the next couple articles works but then I get the error again and then the problem start...
