Re: Problem with "disable updates" feeds again

What version of the code are you using? The lastest in git, or a specific release?

I haven't seen a problem so far, but now I've got several feeds with updates disabled, so I'll look out for problems.

Re: feed won't load

You updated HTML Purifier to v4.4.0 on 28 April 2012. (or Michael Kuhn did)

Did we have any hanging problems before that, with the previous version?

Re: feed won't load

Perhaps we could log the URL of the offending page when this occurs. It might be interesting to look at that particular bit of HTML, but at the very least we could try to pass along this sort of "test case" to the HTML Purifier people. Really we should log the URL and then blacklist the ar...

Re: feed won't load

I suddenly hit that exact same problem, on a feed that's given no problems for quite a while.
The "Fedora People" feed at http://planet.fedoraproject.org/rss20.xml is now causing spiking CPUs and a segfault at the same HTMLPurifier address, although my timeout is apparently 30 seconds.

Re: Toggle Combined Display Mode from Action menu

It finally trickled through, about 12 hours after I expected it. No clue why.

Obviously I was trying to add that support.

BTW, is the forum RSS feed broken? I haven't seen these last two messages.

Re: Toggle Combined Display Mode from Action menu

I'm seeing some odd behavior with this patch; it's fine to play with, but should not be considered for the mainline yet.

Toggle Combined Display Mode from Action menu

I generally use the "Combined Display Mode" but whenever I want to check something using the "Headline Mode", it is tedious to have to go through the Preferences menu page to switch. I offer this patch, which adds an entry in the "Actions" menu, to quickly toggle the Di...

Re: [Help] Bash Script to un-publish articles

Thanks. I had the unpublishing down, thanks to your wiki and the corresponding source code. My real problem was in generating test cases. From the web interface, the 'S' key toggles the 'published' flag. But there is no visual feedback (at least on the combined-display-mode) so after hitting 'S' sev...

Re: [Help] Bash Script to un-publish articles

I've got a working Perl script that will unpublish articles through the API. Nothing extra needed in the API since the "getHeadlines" method can return the published entries. I just want to do a little more testing before I post it. I'm having trouble marking articles as "published&qu...

Re: [Help] Bash Script to un-publish articles

Are you looking for a shell script to un-publish one specific article? Or "all published articles"? I played with the api a little, and it should be simple enough to un-publish a specific article with the "updateArticle" method. The later might be more difficult (I don't see that...

Re: Installation problem Fatal error: Allowed memory size

Googling on "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of" tells me that it's a php "memory_limit" problem.

Try adding this line to config.php:

Code: Select all

ini_set('memory_limit', '200M');

Re: Don't catchup new feed or manually updated feed

As promised, here is a patch to differentiate "Manual Update" from "New Feed".

With this patch a "Manual Update" will not cause a "catchup_feed()". "New Feed" behavior is unchanged.

Re: Don't catchup new feed or manually updated feed

I found myself catching up feeds after subscription too, so this stays. :) Ok, I respect that. However I would like to separate "manual update" from "new feed" as far as this catchup. Would you agree with that? I'll figure out some way. Maybe revisit the last_update=NULL for man...
