Re: OPML export ordering and cleanup

Here are the new patches for opml.php. I've split the changes into five patches so they are easier to review. They should be applied in numerical order since a few lines were affected by multiple patches. Oops, I just found out that only 3 attachments are allowed, so I will post patches 4 and 5 in t...

Re: OPML export ordering and cleanup

I've updated the method of "pretty printing" the OPML output. The patch above did the indentation manually because at the time I could not get "saveXML()" to do what I wanted. I've managed that now, so the indentation code is less obtrusive. Give me a day to get it cleaned up and...

OPML export ordering and cleanup

I noticed that the OPML export result does not preserve the user's preferred category and feed ordering. (I'm not leaving, I just wanted to try something in "liferea".) I set out to add ordering to the opml export function, which was relatively easy, but then I started fiddling with the ou...

I did not know that; I will attach patches instead. Thanks.

moveToPost('prev') does not work across duplicate article id

If the preferences are set to "Allow duplicate posts", then when reading a category or virtual feed, there may occur adjacent identical article ids. The keystroke logic handling the 'previous article' request does not back up the list correctly. The following patch fixes this. It also elim...

ignore hotkeys inside textarea on preferences screen

I was editing my CSS preferences, and within a comment I tried to type a question mark, but this brought up a help overlay instead. So here's a minor patch to js/prefs.js, to ignore hot keys within a TEXTAREA, such as the CSS editor dialog, just like in js/tt-rss.js. diff --git a/js/prefs.js b/js/pr...

Re: Merge RSS Feeds and filter duplicate's

In the Preferences, the very first option is "Allow duplicate posts". Change that setting from Yes to No.

I'm fairly sure this will only apply to newly downloaded posts, and will not make your current duplicates go away.

Re: [Minor] Reagarding Add new Category

As requested, attached is a patch to add the ability to show or hide empty categories in the feed preferences.
A preference is added to the database to keep track of the state, which defaults to the current behavior of hiding empty categories.
(Ignore my earlier patch; this supersedes it.)

Re: [Minor] Reagarding Add new Category

This bug just recently bit me. I added a new category to do some reorganizing, and it disappeared. It's hard to "drag-n-drop" into a "not-there" category. I see no reason to hide information from the user on his own feed list. The following patch just turns off the category non-e...

Re: Show entire feed title text instead of fitting in one li

In order to avoid the title truncation, edit "classes/feeds.php" and remove the "truncate_string()" function from the lines with an "RTITLE" id. Here's a patch that should do what you want: diff --git a/classes/feeds.php b/classes/feeds.php index 2f4870f..fff63ca 100644...

custom stylesheet loses newlines

I've been using a custom stylesheet to highlight the current article's headline. It's not fancy; just in case you're interested, here it is: .even.Selected a.title { font-size : 120%; font-weight : bold; color: #1155CC; } .odd.Selected a.title { font-size : 120%; font-weight : bold; color: #1155CC; ...

key assignments j and k are backwards

I like the key assignments for the most part, but any "vi" user will say that "j" and "k" are backwards. "j" should be "down" (aka "next") and "k" should be "up" (aka "previous"). So I use this patch, which swi...

Feed tree sidebar unrequested scrolling

I've been using keys n and p to navigate down and up the article list within a particular feed. Often when I hit a key, the feed list in the sidebar does a scrolling action. Since my feed list is long enough to require a slider, an unexpected scrolling action is obvious and quite annoying. I finally...

Schema version 88 changes cause a warning

Transitioning to from schema version 87 to 88, I started getting warnings in the Apache log file. Every time the mouse enters the login page, the following warning shows up: [Thu Jan 26 17:37:51 2012] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] PHP Warning: pg_fetch_result(): Unable to jump to row 0 on PostgreSQL re...
