Re: [Theme][GitHub] feedly theme built from scratch

Doing those two changes in my instance makes the floating title disappears in all situations, and the performance on Firefox to improve (smoother scrolling).

Thanks.

Re: [1.9] Obsolete method of updating feed dont work

I suggest you downgrade to 1.7.8 or even below. That's what I did for the period that the obsolete method stopped working for me during the 1.8 cycle (and then worked fine again :-?) and everything went fine.

And then look for another hosting.

Re: Save to Instapaper

Works fine for me too. Thanks! I like how it uses the "standard notifications" of tt-rss.

Re: [Theme][GitHub] feedly theme built from scratch

Thanks, your solution worked. The floating panel works as in the default theme, and the perceived performance is better. Then I had to complicate my life. I didn't want to have to remember the change everytime I update your theme, so I tried to do somethin equivalent within the custom CSS dialog. Co...

Re: [Theme][GitHub] feedly theme built from scratch

Sorry to be reporting again and again... Since I last updated, the floating title for combined mode is displaying when there is no open article. The top visible headline is generating a floating title, always. This is particularly evident when items are grouped by feed: the floating title can appear...

Re: planet.gnome.org

I can confirm. I don't get new items from planet Gnome feed since june 24. Same error. And it also affects other feeds from that server, as the feed in extensions.gnome.org. Probably their problem.

Re: [Theme][GitHub] feedly theme built from scratch

levito wrote:@davidm: Yes, a bug. But not in the theme, but in Tiny Tiny RSS itself. The default theme also doesn't hide the content preview.

But I triple checked it!

[Checks again.]

Uh. You're right.

[Starts kicking own head.]

Re: [Theme][GitHub] feedly theme built from scratch

Bug? The checkbox to display a preview in the headline list is not working anymore in combined mode (displays preview when unchecked).

Re: Updating Feeds - Obsolete

Given that this is a problem that will be suffered mostly by users on severely restrictive shared hosting, and given that shared hosting is unsupported, I wouldn't expect this obsolete method to be brought back to life anytime soon. Not that giving us a reason to find a less restrictive hosting is s...

Re: Publish ttrss as public page?

tt-rss generates RSS feeds for anything (labeled items, starred items, whatever), so it's fairly trivial (for someone who can set up tt-rss by herself) to set up a blog that republishes all those feeds. Wordpress+Feedwordpress for example.

Re: Update feeds problems

Maybe some people is experiencing a problem with a different cause. I was not aware that the HTTP update method had become obsolete* (in fact, I have no idea when it happened). Then I upgraded to 1.8 and started having exactly the same problem as the last poster. So I assume that a change somewhere ...

Re: A minimalist theme with a Feedly vibe: RS2

Since levito has released a similar looking theme of a far higher quality, I won't be updating this theme anymore, at least in the short term. Please check it out: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2065

Re: [Theme][GitHub] feedly theme built from scratch

Beautiful, thanks.

One small improvement suggestion: in the headline list there is no space between the author and the label, and no space between labels themselves (I am using combined mode with no excerpts). span.HlLabelRef has no margins to left and right.

Re: Hide unread count option

I have taught RSS to utter non-technical users who needed it to do actual real-life paid work, such as press clipping for their bosses. Yeah, they kinda feel like that. Stupid n00bs. Oh, and myself. I simply don't give a damn how many things I have not read, since I don't intend to read them all. No...

Re: Hide unread count option

Thanks for the plugin. I did the same and hid the counters with CSS just a couple of days ago. One of the reasons that RSS never became massive, I think, is that unread counters made some users feel anxious about unread stuff. Traditional feed readers are very much like email, where unread counts ar...
