Re: plugin feedmod and feedburner website

Bad news, it's not working... :( Sorry to hear that. I tried it with this article , and beside the fact that it needed yet another xpath ( //article[@class='body-text'] , but on another page, this would return nothing. Seriously, WTF?), it worked. But I used the plugin outside of ttRSS, so maybe th...

Re: plugin feedmod and feedburner website

Took a look at the log. The interfering plugin is actually af_fsckportal . The more I think about it, the more I am convinced that the error is in af_feedmod because it assumes it can identify an article by its link only. The bugfix is easy then, but I'm not sure yet. In the meantime: I don't know w...

Re: plugin feedmod and feedburner website

Looks OK, but maybe you replace your xpath with "xpath": "span[@itemprop='articleBody']" Do you have the af_unburn plugin (not sure about the exact name) activated? AFAIK it modifies the $article['link'] variable, and depending on whether it or af_feedmod is called first, hilarit...

Re: Bogus link not in feeds

At a guess it didn't work because ff_feedcleaner doesn't work during initial imports, only on updates. I thought it might work after a time. FEED_FETCHED hooks definitely work during the initial import, it may have been the other way around that existing articles weren't (and still aren't?) updated...

Re: Bogus link not in feeds

I'm still not sure if I understood you, but I'm going ahead anyway. According to this , ttRSS uses the guid value for article links only if the attribute isPermaLink exists and is set to true, which it isn't in this feed. You can use ff_FeedCleaner to change this, and BTW fix the byline tag with a c...

That shouldn't be too bad since the feed is valid XML, and ttRSS just ignores tags'n'stuff that aren't specified for RSS. It's a strange feed, but I've seen worse.

I'm not sure I understand your problem. Is it that the article links for this feed in ttRSS are always the IP URL, but they should be something like http://www.afr.com/p/technology/…?

Re: Feeds downloaded twice during update by update.php --fee

You're right, in open_basedir + curl configuration curl magically loses ability to follow redirects (don't ask me why) I believe this is intentionally done by php since a redirect could return URLs like file://some/path/ which could violate open_basedir restrictions, and php can't filter such URLs ...

Re: Spiegel RSS feed no longer working

BTW: Do you also have a solution for the new link format of this feed that redirects you to the homepage first instead of linking to the article? No. I believe I have seen Spiegel articles referenced by a number only, and I conjecture that in the URL http://www.spiegel.de/#ai=933259&aitype=rss&...

Neither one fixes that problem for me. :(

The config for ff_FeedCleaner I posted yesterday did indeed fail to remove the guids, I edited the post. This one should work.

Re: Spiegel RSS feed no longer working

Does anyone know how to make the feeds work again - maybe using the ff_FeedCleaner or the af_whatif plugin? :?: I think a similar case was discussed on the forum some time ago. You can try to use ff_FeedCleaner with [ { "URL": "spiegel.de", "type": "xpath_regex&qu...

Re: howto use af_feedmod

I'm trying to use af_feedmod for http://www.toothpastefordinner.com/rss/rss.php but can't get it to work. My JSON: A few thoughts: • That is a horrible xpath. • The comics are horrible too. • There are URLs for the feed entries, but I can't see how they are related. IMO af_feedmod has trouble with ...
