Re: Fixing LibXML error "Extra content at the end of documen

I'm not looking to fan any flames here, but to provide a suggestion. Fox, would it be possible to somehow implement xmllint functionality in the application via official plug-in It's not official, but a plugin already exists . I don't think that fetching a zip file and extract it into the right dir...

Re: Highlight search terms

Looks good, but it seems that this guy is right; because the XPath function contains in the query $elements = $xpath->query('//*[contains(.,"'.$word.'")]'); is case sensitive, the highlighting in the article content is so (Yes, I actually tested this before posting here). A complete soluti...

Re: Easing The Load of tt-rss on Mysql?

If you want to ease MySQL's load, you can use PgSQL.

(SCNR, but if you don't give any reasonable details about what you think should change, this is one of the more meaningful answers you will get here.)

Re: PHP version 5.3.0 or newer required.

I think I can remember a thread where the CLI and the CGI versions of php differed, this may also be the case here. Advice is the same tough, talk to your hosting people.

Highlight search terms

Recently, I used the search function of Tiny Tiny RSS. Worked fine, only I thought it would be nice if the search terms were highlighted in the feed content, like they are when one queries the Google Cache.

Re: [1.8] Weird characters in a feed

Congrats to the guys responsible for this feed, their work truly is a source of joy . What happens here is this: Whenever the encoder encounters a UTF-8 char like é , it only wants to see the two bytes making it up, and these are, interpreted as latin1, é . So it encodes these two characters into t...

Re: Alternative method of testing for unread feeds

What I am trying to do is this. […] Does that make more sense? Yes, although this is still fluffy talk since you still haven't mentioned what you want to change in TTRSS. This is all because FF.net is stupid and puts the number of comments on the story directly in the story's feed entry, causing TT...

Re: Feeds from Tumblr don't work, malformed but pass validat

OP, does the Garfield feed work with 1.9? On my installation, it started working after some commit that was done in the time frame May 25th - July 10th (I follow trunk a bit lazily).

Re: Alternative method of testing for unread feeds

Here's what I have so far. Any feedback? […] I don't get what you want to achieve with your code. From what I read, you want TTRSS to not interpret some updates to articles in the feed FF.net as updates. Alas I don't know anything about this mechanism, and so can't point you to the right direction,...

Re: Plugin ff_FeedCleaner

Version 0.8 was released right now. It includes changes in the configuration format, and while old style configurations should still work, all users are encouraged to switch to the new style. Details can be found in the README on the github page.

P.S. 39d61109e6a88930d8a70e8a8dd5bf1b115b0161 doesn't seem to fix this for me.
P.P.S. Reloaded it, it does now. Thanks!

I see that too, but only in Firefox. In Fluid (which uses Safari/Webkit) it looks fine.

Re: Implicit conversion in loadXML() considered harmful?

I've added the above block of code which should do conversion if libxml returns error 32. After rereading this thread, I have to say sorry to fox and gbcox, I sounded a bit like that guy http://firstmainlanddonkeyandmuleclub.webs.com/braying.jpg Since the solution above is indeed more then a bit ha...
