Re: Open in background tab (Chrome/Opera only)

Any idea how to get this working for Firefox? Nope. It's not entirely clear why it doesn't work, as it is quite consistent with the Javascript reference, but either it is an intended safeguard against sites using " pop-unders ", or it is the result of an incomplete Javascript implementati...

Re: offloading dojo.js loading?

nor did i say permanently offline. but nitpicking semantics here isn't going anywhere as your fundamental point was made (and acknowledged). My interpretation comes from that you said: [...] since an offline rss server is generally useless (can't fetch feeds), then that isn't a common use case. A f...

Re: offloading dojo.js loading?

Currently, if one runs the TT-RSS backend on a local machine (which probably is very common), it is possible to access TT-RSS even if the internet connection is down, which is actually quite a nifty feature. that is handy. my expectation is that since an offline rss server is generally useless (can...

Re: Open in new window backend.php

What plugins? TT-RSS has to my knowledge always opened links in the form you described (definitely in 1.7.8 as well) — but those links are supposed to redirect you to the correct page. If that does not happen, it seems like redirection is broken on your installation. It could be a browser problem (b...

yelfathi wrote:My mistake sorry for bothering you I thought that your plugin replaced the classical left-click in TT-RSS with the Ctrl Left-click ;).

At least now anyone else with plugin problems can follow the error searching algorithm laid out in the thread :-) .

Re: Open in background tab (Chrome/Opera only)

Exactly, in fact now I am using only the shortcut. OK, well, then after this little detour we can say that the plugin works exactly as it should :-) . The plugin is not supposed to modify the regular left-click action. It only registers a new hotkey (keyboard shortcut) to open in background. If you...

"The shortcut works" — do you mean that the Shift-o hotkey works as expected and opens the link in a background tab, but when you left-click a title, it opens in a foreground tab?

Re: Open in background tab (Chrome/Opera only)

- I tried openArticleInBackgroundTab(getActiveArticleId()) and it works fine Alright, then it must be something with the general hotkey handling that doesn't work on your installation. If you look in "Actions…"→"Keyboard shortcuts help", you should have the entries: o Open in ne...

Re: Open in background tab (Chrome/Opera only)

My provider has only PhP 5.3 and I am using Win7 and Ctrl+Left click works well. I modified line 18+19 of openArticleInBackgroundTab.js but same problem :( OK, well, I don't have Windows machines to test on specifically, but if Ctrl+left-click works it shouldn't be OS specific. As long as the plugi...

Re: Feed problems with 1.7.9, both still work fine on 1.7.8

It is technically valid, it's just the content is in unexpected format. Like posted above, usually it is escaped and wrapped in a CDATA section. If I understand the RFC correctly, type=xhtml is expected not to be escaped: http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4287#section-3.1.1 My early assertion that it w...

Re: Open in background tab (Chrome/Opera only)

⋅ Do you use the latest version of the plugin? Yes but I modified line 10 of the php file, replaced the [] by array (), without this mod the plugin tab won't show in preferences OK, the short syntax for arrays was added in PHP 5.4, so you probably have an older PHP version installed. TT-R...

Re: Feed problems with 1.7.9, both still work fine on 1.7.8

To the original poster, if it is not clear: the first feed is invalid XML by a large margin. The < character is not allowed to exist unescaped in XML tag content, but no escaping at all seem to be going on for the feed in question. Either it should be inside a CDATA-block or encoded with the entity ...

Re: Feed problems with 1.7.9, both still work fine on 1.7.8

Some readers would probably appreciate a visible "NSFW" mark on the first feed. Not that the URL leaves much ambiguity, but it's still good practice.

(And by this comment, perhaps the amount of clicks on the link will skyrocket :-D )

Re: Open in background tab (Chrome/Opera only)

Hello, it does not work for me, I am using the latest version of TT-RSS and stable chrome version. Thanks Some counter-questions relevant to finding out why: ⋅ When you say "latest version of TT-RSS", do you mean trunk from Git or latest versioned release, and in that case: whic...
