Re: Where i can find example?

Would you like to have been shown an example of how to backup the TT-RSS directory? The easiest way is to just copy the directory to somewhere else before updating. Exactly where it resides on your system depends on where you/your distribution have installed it, but if you've managed to set it up, I...

Re: Bug Report

Well, the program tells me to send an error report. It is filed as: http://tt-rss.org/report.php?view=f738405c551692f4a005d60410997f66beea9adc I can't exactly provide a context. It's just not starting and immediately throwing the error report. It's throwing "Cannot modify header information - ...

Re: my_custom_keys plugin stub

What's the safest way to disable all existing hotkeys? I don't want to touch core files, so I tried adding unset($GLOBALS['hotkeys']); to the init function, but that doesn't work. Any ideas? Return an empty array in the `hook_hotkey_map()` function. If you meant that you want to disable all built-i...

Re: Adding feeds with Google Chrome RSS Subscription Extensi

Nice, I hadn't thought of looking for an extension of this sort before, but I had noticed that RSS feeds are hard to find in Chrome. Opera auto-detects RSS feeds in exactly this manner which is really handy, but now I can add it to Chrome as well. As per the auto-adding in TT-RSS, that is a nice ext...

Re: What is happening to the plugins

I am not firm with php but would it be possible to make some consistency checks before including a plugin on startup (some try/except stuff because it crashes the PHP engine)? Sadly, PHP is famously bad at exception handling, with tons of quirks. API checks as were added will probably help a lot fo...

Re: Plugin: Slashdot cleanup

I have been running the following script to clean up Slashdot feeds. It gives similar results, but I wanted to keep the iframe with the comments, though. The script is over-the-top commented to explain what it does: <?php class Af_Slashdot extends Plugin { private $link; private $host; function abou...

Re: Specifing codepage for single feed

http://i.imgur.com/CDNpWIb.png The feed appears to be fine. It doesn't look like the issue is with tt-rss. Actually testing the feed to see if you can reproduce the bug!? Oh, I never… :-D Well, that's great then. As I said, the feed seems to represent itself as big5, as it should. As for the origin...

Re: Specifing codepage for single feed

http://www.rthk.org.hk/rthk/news/rss/c_expressnews.xml — this is the feed in question for those who wonder. It seems to be Chinese characters in big5 encoding , and it announces itself as that as well. The `file` tool identifies the file as ISO 8859-1, but that involves quite some guessing from its ...

Re: Specifing codepage for single feed

The problem is most likely is that the feed announces the wrong charset. That is a bug in the specific feed.

If you post a link to the feed in question people can look at it and perhaps try to figure what's wrong.

Re: How To Use Trunk Version?

I'm toying with the idea to use trunk, too. Since I have ttrss on a machine that has no X11: Is there a passable diff/merge tool for the command line, or would it be smarter to use a git that is installed on my PC and mount ttrsses directory there whenever I feel I should pull & update a new ve...
