Re: Unit tests [with PHPUnit]

I could play with those tests in my spare time, but can you tell me what should I report back? Tests should be a mirror of the documentation and intended function. Ideally, all documented behavior should have a corresponding test in a project. Many even encourage programming in the steps ⋅&nbs...

Re: Article Time ahead 1 Hour

It sounds like your timezone is "wrong" insomuch as it sounds like articles are being displayed in Eastern Standard Time when you're now in Eastern Daylight time (with EST being one hour ahead of EDT). The switch this year was on March 10th which is "about a month ago" (today be...

Re: Article Time ahead 1 Hour

Have you set the correct timezone in the `php.ini` file for your PHP installation? In the category `[Date]`, variable `date.timezone`. See http://www.php.net/manual/en/datetime.configuration.php#ini.date.timezone . That is is one hour that differs and that you noticed it just now might very well be ...

Re: Open in background tab (Chrome/Opera only)

I have been messing around on a chrome only plugin and i used the snippet below to grab the HTTP_USER_AGENT, that way the plugin does not even load if it's not the right browser... if (strpos($_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'], "Chrome") !== false) { do some stuff here... } Just my 2 cents... I'...

Re: Google like RSS view

phz, thanks for sharing! One issue: My titles don't appear in bold blue like yours. Here's mine: http://i.imgur.com/5jEV3rh.png?1 Any idea why? TIA! EDIT: I looked at your CSS code, and see the lines for the article title (implementing 18px bold and #15c color), but for some reason they're not havi...

Re: Scrolling article with cursor keys

…if anyone can figure out a good way to make a plugin out of it, I'd be very grateful so I don't have to redo this with every update. In case it is actually robust in practice I might reevalute, though. I've been running this for a little while, and it seems alright, but it only works in Chrome/Ope...

Open in background tab (Chrome/Opera only)

OpenInBgTab This Tiny Tiny RSS plugin will register a new action that opens links in a background tab by using a JS "hack", simulating a Ctrl-click on a fictive link element. This currently works in Chrome and Opera, does not work in Firefox and is not tested in anything else. Update: It ...

Re: Improved image resizing

Personally I clear the max-width-setting for images, since I most often want them to be in their original size. For me images in RSS feeds are often from web comics or diagrams meant for reading in native size, and to have them scaled down would pretty much make them unreadable. I think many regular...

Re: List scrolls with 'n', even when not needed

I tried the '_noscroll' variants, but these do something different than I want. They immediately go the the next article when the current article is bigger than the avaiable screen space (if I understand correctly). What I am looking for is to select the next article without scrolling when multiple...

Re: Google Reader theme

A big help for inspecting classes and what CSS rules are superceding others, use e.g. the "Inspect element" function in Chrome (or similar functions in other browsers). Right-click the header itself, "Inspect element" and look at the CSS rule tree to the right.

Re: Scrolling article with cursor keys

(If someone knows how to create a hotkey to open an article in a background tab they are very welcome to share, but I am aware of that it in general is a browser issue and not a limitation of or in the scope of TT-RSS.) There is a way to do it. I scarfed this from a userscript that did this for GRe...

Re: pinterest, owncloud, pocket, tweet, etc social plugins

FWIW I've also enabled post editing. This is a side-note to the thread in question, but (unless something has changed very recently, or my blindness is acting up) it seems it is only possible to edit ones posts in the forum a couple of minutes after posting, before the edit link and edit privilege ...

Re: pinterest, owncloud, pocket, tweet, etc social plugins

How about adding a "Get more plugins at the TT-RSS wiki or the TT-RSS plugin forum " or something like it somewhere around where it currently says "You will need to reload Tiny Tiny RSS for plugin changes to take effect."? This is no secret as it is, but when people find the conf...
