Re: Downgrade 1.10 to 1.9

The upgrade worked fine for me, except that I was a bit confused by the fact that it said that my database would not be upgraded, then turned around and told me that the schema needed to be updated after all.

Re: Downgrade 1.10 to 1.9

What's wrong with 1.10? Maybe trying to deal with that would be a more constructive use of time?

Re: Cant update to 1.10

Literally in the root directory, or in a tt-rss subdirectory?

tt-rss copies its directory to make a backup, so if you really dumped the files in the root dir then it won't be able to do the backup.

Re: xkcd "What If?" feed not working properly

Looks good on my end too. I guess they fixed it. Not even the people on the official xkcd forum were notified, but they are also reporting that it is fixed for them.

Re: Feed causes tt-rss to go crazy?

Awesome. I've unsubscribed, as the maintainer of the forum hasn't even logged in all year - and probably has no idea that the RSS feature even exists in the first place. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something on tt-rss' end.

Re: Feed causes tt-rss to go crazy?

I must be blind - can you point me to a specific example? When I look at the feed code, I'm only seeing id tags with post URLs containing only topic and post numbers.

Feed causes tt-rss to go crazy?

So I subscribed to the following forum-generated feed yesterday: http://prospector.freeforums.org/feed.php This is an extremely low-volume forum, but when I checked tt-rss this morning I saw over 800 new "articles" listed. Turns out that it was listing dozens of copies of each RSS article ...

Re: xkcd "What If?" feed not working properly

Thanks. I've stopped using non-default plugins, though; it seems that you have to migrate them manually after a tt-rss version upgrade, and that's a bit of a pain. "I see your solution, and I reject it out of lazyness" Unabashedly, sir. I still appreciated the heads-up about the plugin, t...

Re: xkcd "What If?" feed not working properly

Thanks, but that would be overkill. It's already occurred to me that I could modify my cron job shell script to "redeploy" plugins when it detects that they're no longer in the tt-rss directory tree. I would just need time and motivation, which are both lacking at the moment.

fox & Paulchen:

Thanks. I dug up the xkcd site admin email address from the site's about page and sent those thread links.

xkcd "What If?" feed not working properly

tt-rss 1.9 doesn't show the xkcd "What If?" feed ( http://what-if.xkcd.com/feed.atom ) as having any posts newer than "Random Sneeze Call". Searching this forum turned up a comment by fox 5 months ago that maybe the feed uses some html5 "article" doodad that tt-rss does...
