Re: Feedburner status ?

Try adding ?format=xml on the end of the feed URL. That quite often sorts them out. Anyone who uses feedburner needs to die.

Re: RSS feeds from private blogs

I have a script that I use to access an RSS feed that shows different data depending on if I'm logged in to the website or not. Basically I just use curl functions in PHP to log into the website, store a session cookie, and then use that session cookie to fetch the RSS feed before outputting it back...

Re: Reeder (iOS) integration with TT-RSS (via Fever API)

I'm assuming the digest plugin has a line in it that says it uses API version 1, and the git trunk version of tt-rss is API version 2. Probably either need to change the digest plugin code, or just disable that plugin. The digest plugin was moved into contrib and out of the main tt-rss install, so t...

Re: tiny Reader RSS for iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad

I've thought of another slightly obscure feature I find handy for one particular feed ( http://xkcd.com/ ). In the Reeder app that I use I can click on an image and you get a menu pop up, one option of which is "show alt text" which pops up the images alt text. The vast majority of feeds a...

Re: tiny Reader RSS for iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad

Looks good. It's a brand new app so obviously it has lots of development potential ahead of it. But I'd say it needs previous/next article buttons whilst reading. Or even better the ability to swipe to change article. And favicons to more easily differentiate the feeds in things like "Fresh art...

Re: Tiny Tiny RSS behind a Proxy

It uses curl via the PHP extension though which means the environment is likely ignored. I think you would have to edit the tt-rss code and add some setopt statements as shown here: http://uk3.php.net/manual/en/function.curl-setopt.php . If you search for PROXY on that page you can find all the opti...

Re: Setting feed update interval to 1 minute

If you actually do that be prepared for a lot of websites probably blocking you from accessing their feed due to abuse. 1440 requests a day doesn't sound like a lot but some webmasters who like to keep an eye on their logs probably won't be best chuffed if an automated bot is fetching it every 60 se...

Re: Feed causes tt-rss to go crazy?

That's weird! When I look at it now there's no sid. Looks like it's randomly changing the content then. Even better! Basically when I looked at it 10 minutes ago it looked like this: <id>http://prospector.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?t=371&amp;p=1640&amp;sid=1bbcf113816943435593fd5943159cf7#...

Re: Feed causes tt-rss to go crazy?

Cuz it looks like some idiot has put a session id in the id field which is going to change every time the session is renewed, which is probably every time the feed it fetched. Id should be permanent and never change. It's this which is used to track articles.

Re: Mobile webapp for TT RSS: ttrss-mobile

You've previously told me that the master version probably shouldn't be used as it could be broken due to the active development and you recommended the releases, but now you're mentioning fixes that are in master. Are you now saying we can and should just use master, or do you reckon it's just time...

Re: Calenture RSS reader - Sync based fever and tt-rss clien

If you did develop image caching into your app I'd be quite interested to know if it works properly. I use the Reeder app with the fever plugin. Reeder has image cache functions, but I have to have them switched off. With it on some images are intermittently just displayed as broken. The image cache...

+1 for the Fever plugin. Along with the Reeder app, which I believe is now free of charge. Works a treat.

Re: Easing The Load of tt-rss on Mysql?

Is it difficult to migrate from mysql to postgres for tt-rss? I personally just exported the feeds and settings from the OPML export, installed a brand new tt-rss schema, and imported the OPML in again. Probably quicker and easier than playing around trying to export data. Obviously it means all my...

Re: Easing The Load of tt-rss on Mysql?

I've always been a MySQL user (and in the last year MariaDB), but have become increasingly disillusioned with it. All these types of threads on this forum made me decide to install and learn PgSQL last night. After spending an hour learning how it works got tt-rss running on it pretty easily and thi...
