Re: MySQL issues: Lock wait timeout exceeded;

Your lack of ram is probably whats causing the load issues, my 151 feeds db is 366mb. Innodb loves ram and basically you dont have enough, read up on innodb_buffer_pool_size and try increasing it depending on how much ram you have free. My memory allocation table graph showed no discernible differe...

Re: MySQL issues: Lock wait timeout exceeded;

Just out of curiosity, how many feeds do you have? I'm running with an old AMD Athlon processor with 1.7.9 so find it hard to believe your system is underpowered. 163 feeds It could be you somehow smurf'd up your database when you did the upgrade. If you're restoring from a 1.7.8 backup I'd recomme...

MySQL issues: Lock wait timeout exceeded;

I've been struggling with some mysql issues since upgrading to 1.7.9 so I thought I'd share my data in the hope somebody can add some insight my woes. When scrolling through a feed, auto marking read, I would notice that the process would start to stall. The read count for that feed would remain sta...

Re: 1.7.9 - Session failed to validate

I think if you had cleared your cookies and reloaded your login page, you should have had no issues logging in. Attacking the base code with a meat cleaver is definitely not the answer.

Cool story bro, but I don't want to keep you, I'll let you get back the 'formula 1 racing' and the inevitable 'race spoilers'. :wink: :wink:

Re: hide specific labels from fresharticles or startlabel ch

Serious question: Why don't you just throw your NSFW feeds to another user, and log in with it whenever you borrowed a feeling? http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lvmkamSb1v1r7cg9yo1_1280.jpg That's how … a friend of mine is doing it. I think I hate fab complexity as much as fox hates option complex...

Re: hide specific labels from fresharticles or startlabel ch

Well, maybe don't read fresh feed, read labels instead? Fresh feed contains all fresh articles, I don't really see any need to add further complexity there. I think his point was tt-rss loads 'fresh articles' feed by default on startup and there's no way to prevent _certain_ feeds from displaying t...

Re: hide specific labels from fresharticles or startlabel ch

Haha, +1 I don't know how many times I've scrambled in panic searching for a another browser tab or feed after refreshing tt-rss after a NSFW post appears in fresh articles. I always lose the race. Then my wife sighs. I don't think labels is the answer though. Maybe another option in edit feed simil...

Re: MySQL Caching

As AngryChris wrote the IO disk are most due the feed update, so many INSERT in the table. For me ttrss is not a 'essential' service so it's not a big problem to lost some hours of database update. I'm making a test using a ramdisk where I've placed the InnoDB cache files (ib_logfileX) obtaining th...
