That's just envy. You can't bear the truth.

[Request] New APIs: createCategory (w/ rename* and delete*)

I was wondering if it is planned to add three new API-s to manipulate categories (create*, rename* and delete*) from an external app.

Re: Cron job don't accept certain characters

If the problem is with cron, just write your own "myUpdate.sh" file containing the full path and commandline to update tt-rss, then just put myUpdate.sh in cron and you're done.

Re: Full text RSS generator

As a very quick solution, you can install it on your own server (the same you have tt-rss) and then when you want to add a feed to tt-rss just put it through FullTextRSS and use the full-url you see after you click "generate". I've done it for Engadget and it seems to work (more or less, t...

Thanks, it makes perfect sense. And I guess easier debug of API-s is preferable.

Re: getCompactHeadlines API

[In an unrelated note: why do system plugins require to be enabled only through config.php? Pls, no "what part of system isn't clear to you?", I'm wondering what features could be enabled harmfully/unwillingly, since the files must already be in the plugins directory of the server]

Re: getCompactHeadlines API

https://github.com/hrk/tt-rss-newsplus- ... s/init.php

It supports api_version() and returns 2. It works with 1.9 here. Is it "installed" in a directory named "api_newsplus"?

Re: getCompactHeadlines API

If you mean 1.10, I was holding back for 1.11 but I'll look into it.

@Fox: any pointer to changes in 1.10 which could cause this?

Re: [SOLVED] TT-Gallery2 (or 3?) requires short_open_tag = O

Are you still working on it?/Do you accept pushes?
In the echo $self_uri it looks like <?=$self_uri?> should work. I could replace it and push through github.

[SOLVED] TT-Gallery2 (or 3?) requires short_open_tag = On

I followed the README, and I get a page w/ wrong HTML: all links show an unescaped <? echo $self_uri ?>. [url]REMOVED[/url] (it's just a test url, you won't find bear images there, sorry) I guess I am missing something, but it's something not documented in the README and that I never saw before. Fro...

As fox pointed out, it's most likely a BOM issue.

Re: 1.9 to 1.10 - update performance regression

no, because that's actually quite useful, some feeds have stuff coming in frequently, some infrequently, doesn't make any sense to hit something every 15 mintues when it's only updated once a day, and conversely, doesn't make sense to pull once a day for something that gets frequent updates, or tha...

Re: 1.9 to 1.10 - update performance regression

TL;DR: possible bullshit. (real) TL;DR: add (default) lang variable to feed item, then, if set, use it instead of LanguageDetection during feed-update. This relates to my setup, but I feel confident it may be a widespread scenario. My feeds only show articles in a single language. They're either in ...
