Re: 1.9 to 1.10 - update performance regression

because it makes text easier to read, duh ... err, ok, that's personal taste and off topic. I really meant: what's the use of hyphenation in TT-RSS? Language detection during update, so that when browsing the web-interface articles get changed to a hyphenated version of themselves? Based on what wi...

lotrfan already replied (the other change is the addition of the lang column in ttrss_entries) but just for your own information, you can find all the update scripts here: https://github.com/gothfox/Tiny-Tiny-RSS/tree/master/schema/versions/mysql

Re: Implement CORS headers for the API

If you can't immediately figure out why adding "Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *" like the site you linked suggests is a potentially bad idea, you really should not be doing any programming on the web. Just saying. To return this to a (boring) topic, I felt the same as fox when I read the d...

Re: Proper way to migrate from MySQL to PostgreSQL

The migration tool assumes an empty database. That explains why I had duplicates of some records, including two Admin users. Another table also had duplicates--ttrss_user_prefs. This came from installing postgreSQL and running the install script to initialize the database. It creates the tables and...

Re: Proper way to migrate from MySQL to PostgreSQL

I am not at home these days and I am writing from a smartphone. Migration tool has no knowledge of table columns, just tables. Provided fox hasn't added a new table, you're fine. It has to be run on an empty (but created!) pgsql schema. When you got "user table does not exist", you run it ...

Re: Calenture RSS reader - Sync based fever and tt-rss clien

Rmember that you need to put you username in the email field and that you need to create a password in "Fever Emulation" pane in tt-rss preferences. Man, I feel dumb. Everything was written in the "Fever emulation" tab. Maybe the only documentation you need is "Remember to ...

Re: Calenture RSS reader - Sync based fever and tt-rss clien

Pardon me, but how do I check that the fever plugin is working? I may be dumb, but I feel there's a lack of proper documentation. :) I used the following URLs and it never worked: http://myownserver/tt-rss/ http://myownserver/tt-rss/api/ http://myownserver/tt-rss/plugins/fever/ Putting the last one ...

Re: Easing The Load of tt-rss on Mysql?

You can use the tool I wrote https://github.com/hrk/tt-rss-mysql2pgsql , documented in the following thread http://tt-rss.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2116&p=11508&hilit=postgres#p12388 at the end of page 3. Create a new database in PgSQL, make sure the user is enabled, execute the TT-R...

[Q] Difference between Labels and Tags?

Ok, maybe this is the trampoline for Comedy Bistro but.......... what is the difference between Labels and Tags? Under the preferences, I can create labels, but then I don't see them anywhere. Inside an article, I can touch the "+" and enter the text of a label, but then I don't see it any...

getCompactHeadlines API

Hi, I've built a plugin which adds a new API, getCompactHeadlines, which was requested by the author of News+ (former GReader) Android app to allow two way synchronization. It is hosted on GitHub (https://github.com/hrk/tt-rss-newsplus-plugin) and it was a (more or less) quick & dirty rip of the...

If Kindle Fire allows you to install apk files, you can check out http://www.greader.co/beta/.

EDIT: Looks like tt-rss support was removed and migrated to News+ app: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/g_reader/fNwf_UvqpCQ

Re: Proper way to migrate from MySQL to PostgreSQL

Ok, I made some small changes and pushed everything to github: https://github.com/hrk/tt-rss-mysql2pgsql Download the contents of the dist directory (if you're not familiar with github, just download everything as a zip, unzip and open the dist directory). Edit config.properties to your liking and t...
