Re: open links in new chrome process

I tried using chrome for about a six months but switched back to firefox because of performance with having multiple tabs open. Sometimes (actually quite often) I'm lazy and just keep opening new tabs. Chrome would always choke, then I read this: http://www.geek.com/news/firefox-easily-outperforms-c...

Re: PHP support for PostgreSQL is required for configured pg

That should have been taken care of with the php-pgsql package you installed. At least it is in Fedora. Not sure which distribution you are running, but I'd open a bug report there. You shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get something working. That kind of defeats the purpose of packaging - and...

Re: Implicit conversion in loadXML() considered harmful?

You seem to have a nice work environment. Fedora has treated me well... that isn't to say I don't encounter problems - but I've found the community to be very responsive and things tend to get fixed in short order. I've also been fortunate with my subscribed feeds... I reported a problem here the o...

Re: Implicit conversion in loadXML() considered harmful?

...The Correct Way would be to ask the PHP or OS guys to fix it, but will they? Most people want to do the right thing and fix their stuff... in this case it appears it's already been fixed - you just aren't running the correct version. If that is the case, the fix is for you to upgrade. If you're ...

Re: Recent Broken Feed

Thanks. I'll report the issue to the website and ask them to correct. This morning the post rolled off and the floodgates opened.

Re: Recent Broken Feed

I'll wait to see what Fox says... I don't have any issue with asking them to fix it if it's indeed their issue. It was working fine with no problem until recently, somewhere between 1.79 and current trunk. I did take a look at the xml source: ref=&feed=1" width="1" height=&qu...

Re: How To Use Trunk Version?

You're correct... by the manual it states that once a constant is defined, it can never be changed or undefined. PHP will report this as an error, and ignore subsequent duplicates since they aren't suppose to be there - and it really isn't a good idea to purposely induce an error; programs may chang...

Re: How To Use Trunk Version?

Good grief... my family yelled at me for being mean... so I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings... I'm pretty sure that he's not able to see any way that something as "simple" as patch and diff can work, but *shrug* doesn't matter to me. I understand that it "can" work, but only if y...

ROFL..... Dude, this isn't an Iron Chef competition where you're required to use diff and patch.... you're just being ridiculous now...

Re: How To Use Trunk Version?

As basically your extra lines will cause patch to be unable to find subsequent excerpts to match up to the diff bits. Yup... that was the point. If you're going to build something many people can use, you really only know one thing... (maybe) and that is the state of the current.php-dist... ...
