Re: Updating Feeds - for non coders

Personally, as a non-coder, I find google very good for first gathering everything I can find and reading it. Then, if I can't understand what the hell they said, I find a different application or method to do what I am attempting. This method has served me very well for over 8 years using linux now.

Re: Downloads

Yes, that does take me to the right place. And, I actually got an answer that makes sense. Thank you very much. Now back to the original poster's question? Would it really be bad to have a link like most websites with something worth using, that says "Download"?

Re: Downloads

Maybe it's me, and maybe I am looking at the wrong website, but I can not find your link on http://tt-rss.org/redmine/ anywhere.

Re: Downloads

Hey, I know it's all about fun here, but, TBH, the download link is not that easy to find. It may be obvious to those that look at it often, but to those of us that do not look often, it can be difficult to find.

Re: Mark as read in virtual feeds

Do these virtual headlines work different? When I scroll through the list of headlines, as they disappear past the top margin, they get marked as read. If I want the whole list marked as read, I just scroll to the bottom of the headlines list.

Re: Downgrade 1.10 to 1.9

Personally, I find the two digit numbers hard to deal with. I always drop the last zero, which makes 1.1 less than 1.9. However, I installed it anyway, fresh install, and it seems to work fine here.

Re: Help getting feeds to update

Glad we at least got you pointed the right way. It's good that you finally got a command to work. Sometimes, playing with different rewording helps to make things do what you need.

Re: Help getting feeds to update

To make it really simple, do this: Update daemon This is the recommended way to update feeds. Please use it if you have access to PHP CLI interpreter and can run background processes. You can run single-process update daemon or update_daemon2.php (multi-process, runs several update tasks in parallel...

Re: Password autocomplete/saving

Works here with Firefox and Crunchbang Linux. Does the browser save your password on other sites?

I have noticed that if there is more than one user, I must right-click on the empty login entry to get my name and password to show up.

Re: trouble import xml file from ttrss

Have you tried unzipping the file first? I think .gz is a compressed file, and perhaps that is why it won't import.

Re: Update daemon is not running

Actually, anyone asking for help when hosted on a shared server is asking for a lot. According to the FAQ (http://tt-rss.org/redmine/projects/tt-rss/wiki/FrequentlyAskedQuestions): Technical questions related to tt-rss I'm on a shared hosting, and... Too bad. Contact your hosting support. Running tt...

Re: Update daemon is not running

Those of us that work for others must abide by the rules those others set. Those who work for ourselves must abide by the rules we set for ourselves. While I admit fox can be rude at times, I also recall reading in the documentation that windows, shared support etc will not be supported. Therefore, ...
