Re: Append new articles to end of list
Okay, I wrongly assumed there was code instructing to append or not that could be tweaked/removed. How is it determined? Is there a set amount of unread or time?

Re: Plugin ff_FeedCleaner
Thanks that worked. I realize now the feed has to update to test, which makes sense, wasn't waiting before.

Re: purge content of read articles
lotrfan: thanks again! It sounds similar to what the userscript would do and more efficient. I'll try looking into installing trunk when I get more time later this week. Do you know if removing content could be done automatically? Either by purging content of all read articles and when they are sele...

Re: Append new articles to end of list
Ya it would wreck sorting by newest and title but with sorting oldest it's already appending (and sorts fine) until you get down to a low number or time of unread articles. Would there be any problems allowing articles to append all the time when sorting by oldest?

Re: Plugin ff_FeedCleaner
Double backslashes fixed it, thanks. I read the whole section on regex syntax on php.net and used this regex tester http://www.solmetra.com/scripts/regex/index.php . All tested out okay using every delimiter and meta-character that tested okay but no luck. { "^http://feeds\\.feedburner\\.com/15...

Append new articles to end of list
Is it possible through plugin or core to append new unread articles to the end at all times instead of when there's more than 10-20 articles left? Also could new articles show when on the 'no new unread articles found to display' page so a refresh to view them isn't required? This is a popular reque...

Re: purge content of read articles
CPU usage rarely touches 5% when reading and memory usage can be as low as 30% when it happens.

Re: Plugin ff_FeedCleaner
I think there's something else wrong, always get invalid JSON when pressing save, even when the feedcleaner window is blank. I messaged espn mid last week with no reply yet, have a feeling they ignored it. The feed works in GR, feedly, tor, inoreader, ttrss is the only reader tried that it doesn't w...

Re: 1.8 noticeably slower than 1.7.9
I've never used 1.7.9 but noticing unresponsiveness too but it's common among all rss readers I've tried. It only happens after viewing usually 100's of articles, depending on content. This worked wonderfully to speed up GR http://tt-rss.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2283 . Unfortunately nothing...

Re: Plugin ff_FeedCleaner
Thanks for this, I'm trying to fix this feed: http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Ffeeds.feedburner.com%2F1500espn%2Fsportswire%2Fall but dumbfounded when it comes to regex. Also ttrss is complaining about 'â' instead, not sure which is correct. So far I have: { "#^h...

Re: Howto Mongoose PHP PostgreSQL TT-RSS on Windows
Thanks for this, it really helped and only took about 10 minutes to do. It's all working great except when importing OPML there's an error code 6 (restricted access?). I forced logout and deleted cookies like the FAQ mentions to no avail. WAMP imports just fine. Any ideas?

Re: purge content of read articles
I was wrong about flash being the main problem. Disabling videoframes plugin for OOBE to read 480+ feeds needed 3 refreshes, the tab was continuously loading every time. Refreshes were all unusually long, 1-3 seconds, typically it's instant. This is the last of getting back the previous experience a...

Re: purge content of read articles
Flash is just what it mainly is in my case. GIF and images slow down browsers in excess. The rare time I come across a gif it's a noticeable slow down, I think they are heavier than flash per instance. It's all about freeing resources that are no longer required which a refresh and this purge script...

Re: purge content of read articles
About the same viewing on an FX8320 8GB, i3 3GB, Athlon II 620 4GB, or celeron G1610 2GB. As well as remotely hosted or hosted on FX8320. I think the main problem is 100's of flash videos on a page isn't handled well by browsers.
