Re: [Android Client] Compact headline mode

do you people ever like open stock apps like gmail or what im genuinely interested Well I try to avoid the stock apps. There are generally better options and ones where your information is more under your control than that of some big Web ad company. I am kind of surprised as your comment seems to ...

Re: [Android Client] Compact headline mode

thanks, fox. know about the long press. guess i'll have to live with 2 taps to publish. BTW, the new circles for checkboxes seem weird to me. Very large and the varying colors seem more of a distraction than value add. Also the letter in the circle doesn't add anything other than distraction as it i...

[Android Client] Compact headline mode

First, I want to thank you for adding the compact headline mode. I *LOVE* this mode and it makes my reading much more efficient. In the layout the thing I miss is the publish button. I read a lot of feeds and use the star and publish to save and create a shared feed for others. What I find I never u...

Re: Official Android client

Just wanted to chime in on olest first. I like the grouping and within the group I also set to read oldest first. The reason is for feeds from discussion baords. You have to read from old to new to get the flow of the discussion. For example, on the tt-rss forum feed, watching Fox's growing "ad...

[Android App] requests

Fox, you seem to have fired up the Android build environment so I'd like to make a few requests/ideas: - The Android app doesn't display categories in the defined order. can this be fixed? - when you go offline, the display of content doesn't group by feed and then sort (oldest/newest) within feed t...

Re: Plugin af_fullpost

Thanks for this. I had a case where the article URLs don't come from the site but are links to other sites. I added changed the line that does matching to look like this: if (stripos($article['link'], $urlpart) === false && stripos($article['feed']['site_url'], $urlpart ) == false) to handle...

Re: TE-Reader for FirefoxOS

Thanks, and yes, you should be able to run TE-Reader with the latest Android Firefox, as the previous poster indicates. Perhaps you can look at the APIs and adapt so that it can work on Android. Be interesting to see.

Re: TE-Reader for FirefoxOS

Tried to add to Firefox Mobile and it said "not available". I am using the Aurora Nightly. is the app available for Android? if so is the reason I am not seeing because of the version support you specify?

Re: Quick email feature?

Fox's example image would be very nice (please add.....), but if you want a quick hack for just one default address and didn't mind hard coding, I think you could modify the plugin pretty simply. Haven't tried but using the e_mail plugin init.php, wouldn't it just be adding a "value", some...

Article on installing tt-rss on ubuntu

Here is a nice article I found about installing tt-rss on ubuntu. Only flaw is that it uses MySQL and I've found that postgresql is much better.

Re: Using unused laptop as TT-RSS only

Here is an article that walks you through this, but as the previous poster says, use postgresql and not mysql. I used mysql first but the performance on my old laptop wasn't great.

Re: Using unused laptop as TT-RSS only

I am set up with an old laptop to be my tt-rss server. I use Ubuntu and it works well. If you want to enable access from outside of your home, then as the other poster said, you have to allow access to the laptops web server through your home firewall/router. This is usually in the port forwarding s...

Re: New Sphinx Search

Nope, my fault. While I had stopped and restarted nginx I hadn't killed and restarted php5-fpm. Once I did that it now works, although I did get one message again. WIll keep an eye on it.
