Re: [Android Client] Embedded Video support

Ok, so this works on my tablet which is running 4.4.4 but not on my cell which is still on 4.3. I think there is really more needed than just enabling javascript. Initially I only tried with this. web.setWebChromeClient(new WebChromeClient()); So maybe this is needed for older versions of Android to...

Re: [Android Client] Embedded Video support

idk about javascript (i never enabled it) but html5 video elements are manually removed because on some versions of android webview crashed while trying to display them. that was a long time ago, though, so maybe i can just enable those too. I saw this as well, but at least for my videos all I need...

Re: [Android Client] Embedded Video support

Ok, after posting that I did not find a way to make it work... I was able to get it working. To be able to view videos well at least the ones that show up in my feeds (youtube) you "just" need to enable Javascript for the webview. I hardcoded this for testing in ArticleFragment.java just b...

[Android Client] Embedded Video support

Good evening, I was wondering if it is possible to enable embedded videos in the Android client. They work in the web client and I have seen other apps that support when connected to my tt-rss server. With the TT-RSS client I only get a black frame with nothing in it. Apparently it should be possibl...

Re: Android client: if only I could unread the sdk

The more you ask about it the less inclined Fox is to re-implement it, well at least that's how I see it. If you really cannot live without an unread button, just use an alternative reader that supports it. Personally I use Press+ the fever plugin. It has a very simple and straightforward interface A...

Re: Big DB on shared hosting

As already mentioned above this problem is a known issue with postgresql on openshift (see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=849428).
The fix is to run the vacuum job manually. I do this via cron on a daily basis.

Hope that helps,
Mike

Re: Overloading cdmExpandArticle in a plugin

Perfect this works like a charm I now have the functionality I want.
The only small inconvenience. I need to keep an eye on the HEAD code for changes in cdmExpandArticle and apply them to my version.

Thank you very very much for the quick replies and this wonderful easy to extend software.

Re: Overloading cdmExpandArticle in a plugin

javascript allows you to override functions, so yes, it is possible with a plugin (if a bit clumsy). cdmWhatever = function() { ... } e: I think saving the original and calling it after/before your local additions would be the best solution wrt future updates of trunk code. My first idea was to jus...

Overloading cdmExpandArticle in a plugin

Hello, I really like to browse through my new entries in combined mode. The problem is that per default the entries are always expanded when you activate them. I then found next_article_noexpand which is ALMOST doing what I want. The only problem with it is that it also keeps the article unread. Wha...
