Re: problematic feeds

http://www.sachsen.de/cps/rde/lasuv/hs.xsl/lasuv.rss Every time tt-rss updates the feed, all items (old ones too) are shown as new ones. That feed is simply broken. All links contain a session ID, and they re-use links as "unique ID", so Tiny can't tell that it's the same item. Does it wo...

That one probably requires authentication. I'm getting "Specified URL doesn't seem to contain any feeds", but maybe error handling was fixed in the repository.

Re: Feed timeout

First I'd find out to which IP that domain resolves on both systems.

Re: Cannot read property 'domNode' of undefined

This error presents itself when loading / refreshing tt-rss exclusively in Chrome. So everything works in other browsers? Which? What I might do: 1. remove the outer try/catch in js/feedlist.js request_counters (delete lines 184 and 214-216) 2. delete cache/js/feedlist.js for good measure 3. do wha...

Re: Errors With Foreign Characters In Some Feeds

Not related to the database, just bad code. Never re-use variables, especially with other types. When $lang->detect fails, the if block is skipped, and that empty array converted to a string for the database. URL truncated on import

One of the feeds I imported from OPML wasn't working. It turned out the URL had been truncated to 250 characters. As far as I can see this happens in classes/opml.php line 260. It doesn't seem to be necessary, as the column type is "text" in ttrss_schema_pgsql.sql and long URLs work fine w...

Re: Filter by XPath

XPath is no harder to understand than the regular expressions that are already supported. But I guess this closes the issue.

I see your avatar is no joke.

Re: Filter by XPath

I don't have to do much to solve my particular problem, no. But other people might like an XPath filter, at which point it needs to be configurable. And since there already is a configurable filtering system it'd make sense to add it there. Hence the feature request. Maybe someone will have the time...

Re: Filter by XPath

Looks like I can't plug into the existing filtering system, so I'd have to rebuild the whole UI. Seems wasteful.

Re: {"error":{"code":7}}

Here is a workaround for 1Password in Safari. When you saved your password while setting it, it will always submit op=admin instead of op=login, which leads to the error. Since version 4 you can no longer edit all the form fields, so you have to go to the regular login form, enter the values manuall...

Filter by XPath

A popular blogging platform doesn't have per-category feeds. I only want the articles where //span[@class='theme']/a points to a certain category page.

Fix article link for tumblr

I don't understand tumblr, but am subscribed to one that collects tweets: the RSS item link goes to a page on tumblr, the first link in the description goes to the original page on Twitter. I have a working Python script that exchanges the two links by fiddling with the raw XML. I'd like to make a p...
