Re: Dedicated Server Recommendation

I do have a VPS there, but not locked to OVH, though is not Kimsufi just selling OVH in any case? Anyway the link to OVH simply to limit the scope of choice. So what you do guys think in this case, thoughts, I know fox got plenty he might decide to share with me or not :-)

Dedicated Server Recommendation

Seeing there's some smart people around here, I though to ask for two cents at least :) Any thoughts, not sure to priority CPU cores, threads, GHz, RAM, I know i need SSDs clearly (+separate SATA or SSD only)? If I'm to choose a server option capable of easily handling the following: ⋅ TTR...

Re: mb_convert_encoding(): Illegal character encoding specified

Note sure, maybe through mb_detect_encoding and mb_list_encodings, but if nothing is broken it might not be worth it. Maybe I'll throw in a @ as suggested.

mb_convert_encoding(): Illegal character encoding specified

Hey all, trying to fix some warnings in my tiny log, any thoughts on what causes this one and if fixable? Not critical is looks but a warning less is a warning less. VPS, Ubuntu 14.04, PostgreSQL, TT-RSS v16.8 (main git) http://www.xboxlife.dk/rss/reviews.rss mb_convert_encoding(): Illegal character...

RSS Feeds that has gone quite

Hi all, I was hoping someone might already have done something similar MySQL wise optimally and could share. I was planning to code a maintenance data pull for my internal dashboard that would show me feeds where there's been no entries for e.g. 3 days as to spot potential issues to look further int...

Issue with German site resolving to English

Hi guys, Setup; VPS, Ubuntu 14.04.3, MySQL, mariaDB 10.1.11, TT-RSS v16.1 (from here), 1k feeds. I'm having an issue with business insider DE, UK and US sites. When I fetch this URL I'm getting US or UK entries instead of the German ones. http://www.businessinsider.de/rss When I tested the feed on m...

Re: Update Interval

i'm not going to tune your tt-rss instance for you, which is why i said you have to play with the numbers yourself i think this last 50/50 configuration is absolutely fucktarded if you want my personal opinion but if it works for you, use it, who cares Just asking as to better understand the meanin...

Start tag expected, '<' not found

I know yet another boring bug about a bogus feed... I'm mainly asking to learn, myfeedsucks shows the following: Error: LibXML error 4 at line 1 (column 1): Start tag expected, '<' not found What I got confused with and did not expect is that W3.org technically validates it unless I'm wrong and CNET...

Re: Update Interval

Just for sanity; if I set 50 workers and a daemon_feed_limit of 50 with a a total of 1000 feeds. In essence only 20 of the workers will ever have something or is this not linked to how many feeds are given each worker? How approx does it balance out that as to play correctly with these numbers. defi...

Re: Update Interval

Okay. Adding workers seems to speed things up, trying with 20 at the moment, will know how that looks in a few hours I guess (maybe not the best way of solving it though).

Re: Update Interval

Did not get process to start with the --log just yet, but ran it in my shell and copied out the last 30 minutes if this helps to see what goes on timing wise and process wise. Is this the log you had in mind (attached)?

Re: Update Interval

btw i find the lack of daemon logs in this thread disturbing I totally agree and wish to share one, though I'm not certain where it would log by default or if it needs to be set-up, any pointers for the stupid? I'm sad to say I don't like Linux much. Found some reference to /var/log/messages though...
