Update.php daemon sleeps forever

Postby wshealy » 05 Apr 2013, 07:50

Somehow between upgrading to 1.76-8 and my updating things update.php --feeds --quiet --log update.txt --daemon runs normal cycle when started then repeatedly sleeps forever. It could be I didn't migrate something from old directory. I'm not sure but when I originally started it it ran repeatedly. The default update frequency in preferences say 30 minutes. When I open the web site it updates using simple update mode however if I only access via Android app it never gets new feeds. I have noticed an occasional 500 error in the Android app.

I have been monitoring it with the update.txt log.

Not sure what I did, my initial search didn't find answer so point me to the solutions if there is one.

Thanks!
Wallace

Strange. Try running under screen, without quiet and logging, and see what happens.

I had this problem yesterday. Maybe there is an old lock file around that is keeping it from running? Also, how are you running, from the command line or cron? Make sure you don't have 2 copies running. I did, by mistake, and it screwed things up.
