cronjob update.php --feeds --quiet

Postby niek » 21 May 2013, 23:15

/usr/bin/php /home/uzvxwndp/public_html/tt-rss/update.php --feeds --quiet

I get the following error message:

Status: 500 Internal Server Error
X-Powered-By: PHP/5.3.22
Content-type: text/html

I had to set the update frequency to 2 hours instead of each half hour because then I got the message:

error: Can't create lockfile (update.lock). Maybe another update process is already running.

Is there a problem in update.php????

My update.php is:

I guess you are using the PHP CGI binary. http://tt-rss.org/redmine/projects/tt-rss/wiki/UpdatingFeeds says you shouldn't do that:

Do not try to run cronjobs with a PHP CGI binary, it's not going to work. If you see HTTP headers being displayed when you run php ./update.php you are using an incorrect binary.

No I use a cronjob exactly like as said in updatingdfeeds.
I did the same in the old version 1.7.8 and al went ok.
Since 1.7.9 I get this message.
My experience is that something is wrong somewhere in the php script.

yeah, it's broken, that's why it works for everybody else.

get a clue, you're using the *wrong* php binary.

well, you've already ignored the clue.
