tt-rss login is atypical

Postby pjmeli » 21 Jun 2013, 18:19

I have to login using http://localhost/tt-rss/index.php to get things to work. /localhost/tt-rss gives me a 403 error.

I can't find a similar problem addressed anywhere.

Look like a permission issue to me. Try chmod 755 your folder
what version of php are you running?

Joseph

For Apache DirectoryIndex is probably what you are looking for...

This is an apache2 config failure. You have to add this:

Code: Select all

<IfModule mod_dir.c>

          DirectoryIndex index.html index.cgi index.pl index.php index.xhtml index.htm

</IfModule>

and acitvate the mod_dir Module

I found a listing in /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/dir.conf…

<IfModule mod_dir.c>

DirectoryIndex index.html index.cgi index.pl index.php index.xhtml index.htm

</IfModule>

See anything?

Thanks for the replies.

Could you provide the output from your apache2 error & access log? Just the output from these two Links: http://localhost/tt-rss/index.php to /localhost/tt-rss

That would be helpful

a quick but dirty workaround would be a redirect:

Code: Select all

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^/tt-rss$
RewriteRule ^/test$ http://localhost/tt-rss/index.php [L,R=301]

What OS? Definitely sounds like an apache configuration issue.

How does apache know where tt-rss is? Do you have tt-rss in you webroot [i.e., /var/ww or /srv/http or similiar] or an Alias in apache's configuration (or something else)?

Full disclosure...I'm not an experienced Linux terminal user...I generally get by through trial-and-error and determination.

tt-rss is installed at /usr/share/tt-rss (that's where Package Manager installed it.

There is a link (alias?) in /etc/tt-rss/apache.conf that points to /usr/share/tt-rss/www...

# tt-rss default Apache configuration

Alias /tt-rss /usr/share/tt-rss/www

I restarted Apache and got this output in terminal...

Can't help but think it's some minor thing...all of this was created using by the Package Manager

Also I should add that otherwise tt-rss seems to be working properly once I log in by adding index.php. My feeds are updating, etc.

I haven't figured out how to access it from my other computers browsers over the network, one running OSX 10.8 and one running Widows 7.

Confused by the webserver thing but obviously localhost won't work and neither does the server IP address/tt-rss.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/tt-rss …from here:

Not sure what you mean. That entry is already in the existing apache2 directory exactly as it was posted above...

Is it not activated? If so, how would I activate it?

ask in an apache support forum. it's an apache configuration problem,
