problematic feeds

Postby vsa » 21 Feb 2014, 16:48

I have 2 feeds wich won't work with tt-rss. It worked with feedly or google reader, as I would expect it.

http://www.epenportal.de/101628/rss-feed.xml
Could not be load within tt-rss.
tt-rss-error: LibXML error 26 at line 9 (column 158): Entity 'uuml' not defined

http://www.sachsen.de/cps/rde/lasuv/hs.xsl/lasuv.rss
Every time tt-rss updates the feed, all items (old ones too) are shown as new ones.

Are there some workarounds for these feeds?

That one probably requires authentication. I'm getting "Specified URL doesn't seem to contain any feeds", but maybe error handling was fixed in the repository.

That feed is simply broken. All links contain a session ID, and they re-use links as "unique ID", so Tiny can't tell that it's the same item. Does it work in other readers? Maybe some compare the content just to be safe.

First one is a 404 error in German.

403 you mean, hence authentication

German is a perfect language for two things - porn and error messages.

User-agent sniffing again, my curl gets a 403, with the uuml in the body. Browser 404 as well. Can't see a pattern. Would still try authentication, as the main site requires a login.
