I'm not sure if anyone here cares about ppas and/or your botched ubuntu install

maybe next time use whatever your OS vendor provides support for, idk

>Any idea or you only can tell me to go f*ck?

i think you're starting to get the gist of it

e: i seriously lol at people who not only install some retarded unsupported by anyone shit from some internet retards' ppa and then go and demand help from other unrelated people who don't do any such stupid thing. ubuntu ppa culture is a fucking disease and those who use it are developmentally disabled, hth.

See if this thread helps you.

Also, change your database password and in the future don't post stuff like that.

JustAMacUser, I read that topic, but it didn't help me. So, I purge all php configs and reinstall php. Now update.php working well, but I still cann't login to tt-rss.
In any case, many thanks to you.

Out of curiosity, is there any particular reason you upgraded to such a bleeding edge version of PHP? If you don't need it (and TT-RSS certainly doesn't) there isn't any reason to since it would be more prone to vulnerabilities, bugs, etc.

Upgrading for upgrading's sake is not always a great idea with production servers. As fox mentioned earlier, it's often best to stick with the OS vendor's packages unless something specific is required.

well you see, he's using ubuntu (is php/web stuff even in main on this shit distro? if its unsupported universe then fucking lol) and some guy published a ppa. therefore, that's production grade stuff right?

op, you're dumb. stop being so dumb, op.

e: thousands of chucklefucks out there use ubuntu (including universe lol) in production environment and it makes me irl mad, if it was some idiots desktop it would at least be mostly harmless if stupid and pointless

Last I heard, Wikipedia was running on Ubuntu (although the information I read is from 2009).
Why are you guys so rude? It would suffice to say that ubuntu does not by default use PHP 5.6 (not even Ubuntu 14.04).
Therefore, if the OP wanted to experiment with such a new version of PHP on a two year old version of Ubuntu, he should debug it himself.

You hit it right on the head. By using experimental software, the issue of it not working should never have been asked. A little bit of research and reading would tell the individual not to ask for help for that version of PHP, since it is not part of TT-RSS.
