Android Client : Links open in TT-RSS app

Postby wonko69 » 10 Jun 2015, 12:28

Hi Fox,

Since the last app update or the last webview update, all links in my feeds open in the app and don't go to chrome.
Is that a feature?

I've cleared cache and data on TT-RSS app on my android.

TT-RSS app version 1.117 (343)
Webview is 43.0.2357.121

Nope All feeds. But if i click the headline the feed opens in Chrome.

One+ 1
Android 5.0.2
Cyanogen os 12.0

Edit: Dont know if this matters, but in the light theme, the menu when using hardware menu button is white text on transparent, which is Hard to read 😉
But just a quick reverse scroll and the menu in the headline is usable. So No biggie

the link thing looks like something googletards broke in a webview update, it's not there on a 5.0 emulator

the theme thing looks like cyanogen being glitchy shit as usual tbh

This is also happening to me with a Samsung Galaxy S4, running the stock ROM (4.4.2 based), with Dark theme.

I actually liked that bug, since it was faster than having to open the browser and switch back after reading for every second article.

Is there any chance for such an inline web page view feature?

Every phone sucks at task switching compared to opening a quick webview panel.
But well, I can live without it.
Maybe I'll write a parser for my feeds that don't give me the full content.

it takes about a second or w/e to open chrome on my phone, most of the time afterward is spent loading the site which would be exactly the same in the webview

not really seeing the big deal here

Grab Last App Switcher from the Play Store and then bind it to your swipe up from home action instead of search. Then you just swipe up from the home button to switch between the last two apps you used.
