I totally agree and wish to share one, though I'm not certain where it would log by default or if it needs to be set-up, any pointers for the stupid? I'm sad to say I don't like Linux much. Found some reference to /var/log/messages though turned that on and it's empty.

Did not get process to start with the --log just yet, but ran it in my shell and copied out the last 30 minutes if this helps to see what goes on timing wise and process wise. Is this the log you had in mind (attached)?

Okay. Adding workers seems to speed things up, trying with 20 at the moment, will know how that looks in a few hours I guess (maybe not the best way of solving it though).

Just for sanity; if I set 50 workers and a daemon_feed_limit of 50 with a a total of 1000 feeds. In essence only 20 of the workers will ever have something or is this not linked to how many feeds are given each worker? How approx does it balance out that as to play correctly with these numbers.

Code: Select all

   define('MAX_JOBS', '50');
   define('DAEMON_FEED_LIMIT', '50');

i'm not going to tune your tt-rss instance for you, which is why i said you have to play with the numbers yourself

i think this last 50/50 configuration is absolutely fucktarded if you want my personal opinion but if it works for you, use it, who cares

Just asking as to better understand the meaning of the settings and how they relate to each other, seeing it's not easy to play around not knowing what I am playing with and I still don't. But yes I absolutely expected that number to be "fucktarded" :)
