Maybe you shouldn't "hibernate" it then? Whatever that means, I'm not a pro android tweaker.

Tried to select text a couple of times, but it seems that when in "selection mode", horizontal scroll still picks up your swiping, so I constantly end up in another article while trying to adjust the selection. Maybe it's possible to block horizontal swipe responses when selecting text?

I've just noticed today looking at my webserver logs, the Tiny Tiny RSS Android client doesn't seem to support the GZIP I've got configured on my server?

I use Apache's built-in deflate support, but even changing the define('ENABLE_GZIP_OUTPUT') to true doesn't show my server sending any compressed content.

Is it possible to add support for this, or am I just a screaming moron?

Details:
Phone: Galaxy Note 2 LTE, totally stock, Android 4.3
Webserver: Apache/2.2.22 (Debian) PHP/5.4.4-14+deb7u8 mod_ssl/2.2.22 OpenSSL/1.0.1e
TinyTinyRSS: v1.12
Screaming Moron Status: TBA

I don't think it specifically disables gzip. Maybe HttpURLConnection has some problems with it or it needs to be specifically enabled, I dunno.

Feed refresh in Android client

Postby ikarusx3 » 02 Jun 2014, 13:00

Would it be possible to implement feed refresh in the Android client?

In the web interface, first clicking a feed selects it, while the second click loads new posts. This is useful for refreshing feeds on demand. Can a similar feature be implemented, like the first pull-to-refresh or menu item reloads the current view, while the second refresh reloads the feed, if currently in a single feed view?

Thanks,

Greetings

Would you consider updating the Android client to support TLSv1.2? Given the POODLE attack (sigh) against SSLv3, I was tightening up the supported protocols on my server, but I discovered that if I prohibited TLSv1, the Android client could no longer connect. I don't know how much trouble this would be, but I would like to only allow TLSv1.2 on my server. Thanks!

If you unplug the ethernet jack you'll be even better protected from all those attackers who definitely give a fuck about your server. The fact that it might stop you from posting here is a nice bonus, too.

Anyway, the client doesn't have a special ssl implementation, so it's whatever httpurlconnection supports.

Hi, my (Play-store) client says something like (in German) "setting Label is not supported for your version". Is there a version where it is supported? I read the whole thread but could see anyone who mentioned it.

Sorry, I mean 1.45 of course (emberrassing - I mixed the number it with ttrss-reader). Aynway I got 1.45 from Play and setting labels doesn't work and I didn't find any newer version than this. Didn't try the Git-version though...
