Thanks! Was about to post this, got interrupted: "Tried reinstalling, but it didn't help. If the app sends out the crash reports (why wouldn't it?), there are a few more. I also updated the app on the tablet (Nexus 7 (2013), Android 5.0.2), and now it exhibits exactly the same behavior on exactly the same feeds."

I'll try your apk a bit later.

Yeah, I've seen that dialog, and no, in this case it doesn't pop up. Maybe it's not my crash report after all. In fact, I'm not even sure the app is crashing on me, because it remains in the recently used apps list, or whatever it's called.

I've just tried reinstalling the app on my phone using your apk. Unfortunately, it didn't help.

e: I'll probably try updating the server from git later in the evening to see if it makes a difference.

Ok, removed the existing app, and installed a new apk.

Phone: that feed from navalny.com is still unreadable. Some articles can't be open, the others cause the app to disappear from the screen, while remaining in the list of recently used apps. No crash report dialog. The mediazavod.ru feed looks like it's fixed. I used the Back button 10 times on 10 different articles, and the app behaved normally.

Tablet in portrait mode: from what I can tell it behaves identically to the phone. Exactly the same articles from navalny.com can't be open, exactly the same articles cause the app to disappear from the screen. The mediazavod.ru feed is fixed.

Tablet in landscape mode: both feeds are broken.

So, yeah, what you said, the fix is for portrait mode only and phones.

Tried a different theme (my default one is Dark), didn't see a difference.

Could this be a memory thing again? This is the same device I used when I complained about back in December.

e: flu sucks. Get well soon!

my theory is that its something to do with opengl stack going insane

it's not like its my java code that dies its something much deeper within the framework so there's no crashdump or nothing of the sort

[Android] Tiny Tiny RSS app article read/unread appearance

Postby rimeraz » 15 Feb 2015, 15:47

Hey,

with the last update from 1.88 to 1.90 the appearance of read / unread articles has changed. I'm using dark theme and unread articles had a lighter background than read articles. From 1.90 on, you can hardly distinguish between read and unread articles because background color is almost identical.

My devices: Samsung Galaxy S3 with Android 4.3, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1N Wifi with CM10.1 nightly

Funny thing: Screenshots (attached) viewed on Windows, the background differs clearly compared to my Android devices. Until 1.88 everything was perfectly fine on Android.

Could you please revert to previous settings? A workaround would be to allow color adjustment in app.
