Hi,

After testing a ttrss demo mobile frontend on https://icnerd.com/2013/05/21/tiny-tiny-rss-demo-site/ I may have finally found a solution for my request - using tt-rss from the Firefox sidebar. :D

When loading the mobile webapp in the sidebar - what do I have to modify so that clicking on categories or feeds does not make them load in the main window but in the sidebar? :?:

And could you add a button on the bottom of the list of articles to load more articles? :?:

And, third, there should also be a "mark all articles as read" button!

Thank you for your help!

Mboinet, are you still actively developing the mobile client?

He probably is, but he just had a new baby so I guess he has better things to do with his time at the moment!

Although, when you do come back, I've thought of a suggestion. It's been annoying me whenever I click on a link in a post it opens up in Safari as a separate app. Then I have to close Safari and go back into the ttrss-mobile app. This is annoying in itself, but it's more annoying when you still want to read something else in that post and it's now been marked as read.

My suggestion is I wonder if it's possible to open new links within an iframe or something within the app itself, and keep the menu bar active so you can click back to the post? Basically like Reeder works. That would be awesome. Possible?

Hi!

As xtaz wrote, I was busy with the baby :-)

After 3 months without a sleep/wake button on my old iPhone 3GS I finally bought a new phone. As it's an Android one I've tried using the app from the Play Store by Andrew and I don't use the ttrss-mobile webapp a lot.

I don't know yet if I want to continue working on this project. The version on master is great with the "only unread" feature (thanks to a contribution), I'll try to relase this as a 1.1.

Still don't have a lot of time these days: I'm also changing job. I'll keep you up to date.

And there is the "fever" plugin which converts the ttrss api to a fever-api compatible one. After installation of the plugin you can use apps like "Reeder".

Anyway, thanks for your work!

Yeah I admit I've been using Reeder again recently, mostly due to the reason I made the suggestion above about the links opening in a new window. But I was pushing for keeping this mobile client up to date as well in case for some reason I can't use Reeder any more. I assumed this mobile app would work in Android as well for example, but then after what mboinet said I'm not so sure.

I wanted to use TTRSS-Mobile for my Android. With Firefox for Android, it works fine, but not with dolphin and the default Google browser. After logging in, nothing is parsed and displayed. Can one make some thing so simple with the browser also works? With Opera for Android I have not tested it

Otherwise a very nice job, and I like it :-).

Best regards.

SRY my english is not so good.

I don't get it.

The directory is on my webspace and the conf.js link to the right folders but my mobile version of tt-rss doesn't work.

My conf.js looks like this:

Code: Select all

/* Copy config.js-dist to config.js
   and set it up for your environment.

   DO NOT USE ANY FILESYSTEM PATH */

define({

  /* URL to access your Tiny Tiny RSS installation */
  apiPath: "/tt-rss/",
  window.apiPath="/tt-rss/mobile/";
  window.webappPath="/tt-rss/mobile/";

});

Is something missing in the conf or do I type something wrong?

Did you enable API access in your user preferences?

Yes, I did. Was the first thing I have done after the installation. :D

First think I would recommend doing is updating to the current version of this.

The config.js should look something like this.

Code: Select all

/* Copy config.js-dist to config.js
   and set it up for your environment.

   DO NOT USE ANY FILESYSTEM PATH */

define({

  /* URL to access your Tiny Tiny RSS installation */
  apiPath: "/",

});

There's a known bug with Dolphin, they did not implement W3C Locale Storage as specified. For the default browser, it might be linked to the usage of classList in the code. The version in master (not yet releases) uses jQuery and should fix this bug.

You've previously told me that the master version probably shouldn't be used as it could be broken due to the active development and you recommended the releases, but now you're mentioning fixes that are in master. Are you now saying we can and should just use master, or do you reckon it's just time to stick out another release? I know you don't have a lot of time for this any more but I guess one last release is probably worth doing?

Hey,

I just installed tt-rss and I would like to get the mobile version set up!

I have copied the files on to my server along side my tt-rss installation so the file system looks like what is below:

Code: Select all

/srv/http/tt-rss (this is a symlink to /usr/share/webapps/tt-rss/)
/srv/http/tt-rss-mobile (this is the actual folder)

My url that I have for my tt-rss install is at tt.milogert.com and the url I would like my ttm.milogert.com. How would I do this? I have my own server so I can user virtual hosts and I can move things around as I need.

I am on arch linux if that helps at all.

Thanks in advance!
