SSO: authentication via website form

Postby minami-o » 23 Jul 2013, 20:15

Hi there,
On my website, I have embedded instances of different web-clients: roundcube, owncloud, ttrss.
All these clients, plus my site itself, use IMAP authentication successfully.
What I would like to achieve is a kind of SSO functionality: all sessions should be opened when the user logs in on the site dedicated form.
Thanks to the provided API's, I could achieve this (both to log on an off) for roundcube & owncloud.
However, I couldn't get the logic behind the ttrss web client connection, and all my attempts to use the provided methods and functions failed.
Could someone let me know if it is possible to trigger a logon to the ttrss web client, and how, or at least point me to the correct direction?
If the only access is through the API, could you please let me know if it is possible to log in via the API, and then have the opened session recognized by the web client?
Thanks in advance!

I think you'll need to write an authentication plugin with exposed methods for your main logon system.

OK thanks for your quick reply!
I thought of working with plugins, but didn't know if and how I could get them to work externally.
You made my mind clearer!
I'll post back if I get anywhere with this.
