Try selecting the "Accept self signed certificates" option in preferences. The most common problems with https connections are because the app does not recognize the certificate.

Hi,
After upgrading to 1.2.4, it became impossible to use this app. I constantly get below error.

Screenshot 2015-06-25 07.25.35.png (170.11 KiB) Viewed 5574 times

Is there a way to go back to version 1.2.3? Is there a .dmg of this version somewhere?

Thanks

I have version 1.2.3. MicroRSS used to be sold on the Mac App Store. But I have confirmed at the website, that MicroRSS is now free and no longer under development. Version 1.2.4 is the final one.

Here is 1.2.3: http://www76.zippyshare.com/v/egfdtmsj/file.html

MicroRSS seems to be the only TTRSS client for Mac. But I find it rather slow. And I am disappointed that there will be no future improvements.

Edit:

1.2.4 crashes for me too.

By slow, I mean that it retrieves article counts for each category, but it does not retrieve the articles until I click on each category. Then I have to sit and wait. Other RSS readers I use retrieve the articles at each refresh so they are immediately available.

I installed the Fever plugin in TT-RSS and then setup the Reeder app which supports Fever on OS X. Not half bad. It retrieves all of the articles so you don't have to wait like in MicroRSS.

Hey ankalagon -- thanks so much for this app, and for posting the code!

I'd love to keep the application updated (http lib update, 10.10+ compat) and possibly add a few features (dark mode)

Could you outline your build process, or upload your xcode project to bitbucket?
I setup a project, did the pod install, but I'm getting some build failures on linking the classes, and not sure why.

Sorry about that. I've confused Xcode project with Xcode workspace. I have uploaded the project file to bitbucket. To build the application you will need CocoaPods (if not already using it). After launching it in the project directory, it should create the workspace file and download all dependecies (https://cocoapods.org).

Thanks - that's got it building now. I'll tinker with this and post any updates here in this thread.
