Keyboard shortcuts & FF type ahead find

Postby nichos » 15 Jun 2009, 05:04

Hi all. I just upgraded to the latest version and noticed that some of the keyboard shortcuts require 2 key strokes, previously they were 1. The 2 keystroke requirement doesn't work when the type ahead find feature is enabled in firefox. Are there any plans to change it back to the way it was? Why was it changed to begin with?

Keep up the good work, great product!!!!

It was changed to keep hotkeys more or less logically organized (because there is a lot of them) thus making them easier to remember. Unfortunately, I don't see any other way to accomplish that, so for the time being Emacs-like hotkeys stay.

Maybe there is a way to tell firefox to not use type-ahead find in tt-rss? Like, with some javascript call or something?

Thanks for the reply. Looks like there has been some discussion here:

I'm not sure if that

Code: Select all

<meta name="PHOENIXTYPEAHEAD" content="disable" />

is real or not. I'll give it a try. The last post suggests the "proper" way to do it. I'll give it a shot tonight.
thanks
