As far as I can see this function is never applied to the API-Output, is it? And as I dont speak JavaScript... Does it really strip widht/height attributes from the HTML? Can't find anything about that. But if it is not too much work in Java I can perhaps do the same, a DOM-Parser should be available...

Probably better, yeah. Somehow this didn't show up in the dic... ^^

Installed the newest version from the market and it opens the fresh feed now. Yay!

Also, I see the text is now properly aligned. Great job!

Hi,

I installed the app "ttrss-reader" on my Samsung Galaxy S. I tried to connect to my instance of Tiny Tiny RSS that I'm running on my server at https://rueckgr.at/rss/ (I use this URL as connection URL in the app). Unfortunately, it does not seem to work and I don't know why.

I set up an account in Tiny Tiny RSS with username "test" and password "test". Using that account, I subscribed to the Heise Online RSS feed at http://www.heise.de/newsticker/heise.rdf. In the Android app, I don't see any article. In the Apache access log, there are a few accesses to the API at /rss/api/...

Does anyone have suggestions on how to cope with that problem?

Anyone being interested may try to access my Tiny Tiny RSS installation using both a browser and the Android app using the credentials given above.

So far as I can tell the problem is the version of your tt-rss installation. You are using v1.4.3 and the latest version of "ttrss-reader" requires the latest tt-rss version, which is v1.5.1

Thats right, though I removed the notice about this a while back since I thought nobody uses these versions anymore. Sry for the inconvenience :)

It might be a good idea to add version checking to the client, the call is there in the API.

I still get a lot of hits from 1.4.x on tt-rss.org. :)

Oh, well, I really thought I always updated my Tiny Tiny RSS installation to the latest version available. :(

Now it works like a charm, thank you! :)

By the way, I have this thing cooking (albeit, slowly):

Nice, this looks quite good. Is it just the layout or is it necessary to change the code for the different views to be displayed side by side?

Greetings,
nils

Hey, how's the fragments-thing going on? Would you like to share the code so I can go on developing it? Got 1 1/2 weeks to fill with something until I start in my new job :)

About the technical details: Is it a completely new project or did you build it upon the code of the existing android-app?

Sure, it's uploading on Github now. I've sort of stopped working on it because originally I wanted to make something like GMail.app on Honeycomb but apparently you have to do all of the fancy stuff Google applications do by hand which is not something that I'm interested in. So it sort of got stuck in the early concept stage. :)

Anyway, have fun: https://github.com/gothfox/Tiny-Tiny-RSS-for-Honeycomb

Edit: it's written from scratch.
